I'll snap you one when I get home. I can post up a multi spore or cloned tub. Whichever you prefer. I'm just finishing up on a pheno hunt. I've got some solid contenders.

Nice!! I forgot that I had a few on my phone from the run before this one that I'm doing now. Doing 4 tubs right now.

I can't find anything that even starts to suggest that there is any PE in them. I'll take some fresh ones when I get home. 🤙

I have my first batch of APEs in a tub. Based on some posts I've read about harvesting conditions for these, and some of these look ready to get snipped. I'm looking at the darkness of the caps, how much the edges of the caps have flipped up, as well as cracking in the plump stems.
The problem with all the ones I am guessing are ready is that they are firmly attached to clusters that are not. I don't think I can remove any without damaging a cluster that could still be growing. For other cubes, I'm used to separating ripe ones from clusters, since their point of contact is much less. It seems harder to separate these without damage, since so much surface area is connected. Can anyone give some advice on how they would tackle harvesting this tub? I don't mind waiting a bit longer for everything to grow out more, but I worry I'm letting some of these go too long.

As long as they don't turn into mush (no pun intended) they should be fine. Or, when about half feel like marshmallows, harvest. Or you could harvest now. That's the thing I love about varieties that don't drop their panties and jizz everywhere. Can run them until you feel it's the right time.

I've got a 2x4 flowhood and I'm tired of working on small metal racks.
I decided to put together an elevated wooden surface so that I can use my entire desk area.
The only thing is it's MDF which will obviously suffer from moisture. I've done a couple coats of wood stain sealant, moisture and heat proof.
The question is, will it be alcohol proof?...
Wondering what y'all think and what I should be using if not.
(I'll add pics tomorrow once the final coat has been applied and I can attach the "legs")

Ahh man I should have just ordered some of that online, that's much better.
I was just being impatient, as soon as I had the idea in my head I flew down to the hardware store and picked up what they had.. only time will tell. Not the end of the world.

White fuzzys on cakes. Not enough air flow? I am growing these in a bag with a micron filter. Might cut a hole in some and throw some medical tape on to see what happens. How long before I can expect them to go away? And will it hurt my yield?

You'll have to be a little more specific than 'white fuzzies' since that can describe like 75% of this hobby lol. Any pics?

Pans. I'm not sure if they were Jamaican or copelandia. It's one or the other but I'm not sure this looks right even though it looks about the same as when I cased it and a couple people told me the jars looked pretty good. So I just wanna be sure. I know that It doesn't look clean or neat. Lol. First time ever casing and first time ever trying anything with cow manure. I collected it from a field myself after it got scooped and dumped off to the side and aged for like 5-7 months. I just want some opinions before I toss it.

It doesn't look ideal, but you'll still probably get some fruits. Up the FAE if possible, and you should be good.
And just so you know, copelandia isn't a species or variety, it's the old name for the genus panaeolus

Thanks, bud. I was just going by the syringe I used. One was labeled panaeolus copelandia and the other Jamaican. Thanks for the info though! I took the lid off and sat it on top of the shoebox with a little space for air. Do you think that should be enough or should I start fanning?

Fanning for sure. If you don't have a fruiting chamber then you're gonna have to ask other pros like baba yaga or hindisght, they seem to be the most active and successful pan growers. Pans require a lot of FAE and humidity, I haven't grown them outside of a fruiting chamber so I'm the furthest thing from an expert.
But if I were to try growing them in a shoebox I'd be misting with super fine mist and fanning three times a day, about 30 minutes apart.
