Honestly Echo has come a long way in their saw quality. I'd put them up against a newer husky or stihl any day. Out of the three brands it's the only one I've never had fail on me on a job site, even after a 25 foot drop to asphalt from a tree.
Jeez, me being a tree work nerd again.

Echo makes one helluva backpack leaf blower, I'll tell you that. I just got 3 new Echo 9010t backpack blowers and those fuckers will nearly blow the stripes off a zebra. Hell you could probably even harvest with one
Even their residential model backpack blowers are awesome. I've had a 580t for like 10 years, never winterized it, beat the piss out of it HOPING it dies so I have an excuse to buy another new one and it just keeps going. Second pull start. Every. Damn. Time! Maybe I'll look into their string trimmers this year. I'm due for another tax write off lol

Someone posted a video of them using one of those a couple years ago and it looked like a dream! He just set the substrate up at like a 45 degree angle at the edge of his table, empty tub below to catch the fruits and get to work. He cleared a canopy in a couple minutes

Take the dry weight of the grain (x), hydrate, take the wet weight (y) and calculate the water content of the grains [(y/x)-1]=z
Once you know that, fill each jar with the same weight of hydrated grains and let sit for 10 days. Re-weigh the grains (this would be a lot easier if you had the tare weight of each jar/filter ahead of time). Take the *new* grain weight after 10 days (w) and figure out percent loss per day of different filter types by subtracting it from z and dividing by 10. (z-[(w/x)-1])/10= % lost per day over 10 days.
Also, feel free to double check my math. I have the brain of an engineer but the computation skills of a 5 year old that found their parents weed brownies
I'm stumped on a method of testing FAE though
So weight it before and after, got it chief.

Hey guys, I'm planning to buy some bulk coir to save in the long run and was hoping someone had a good bulk vermiculite source on amazon maybe? Only decent amount I can get around me is 8qt fine. Figure I'll eventually buy a lot so I don't want to look back and see that I spent xx more than I needed to. Thanks!

No amazon source, but if you want a bit to tide you over for a while, get a big bag from a local builders yard or insulation company. It is used as an insulation material and has no additives added usually, check the label to be sure it is raw vermiculite
Comes in 100 liter bags in EU normally. Way cheaper than small horticulture grade portions. The price has been rising around vermiculite recently, the small portions at the garden center or whatever got really stupid in price, so stupid I stopped getting them there altogether even though it is way more convenient for me

I'll second that...
I got a brand new Timberwolf CS-590 last summer for roughly the price of a used Husqy, went through 7 cords without a problem. Love the thing.

Hi everyone, need some help with mini greenhouse. Full air exchange that needs 2 minutes to drop 70% from 99% in every 2 hours (and then needs 10min or something to back on 99%) is okay? Itβs 6 cycles in a day and stays mostly above 90 all the time, iβm using inkbird for fogger and hepa filtered fans for FAE. (growing cubes) any advice would be helpful

You can get huge bags of it at home depot, 2CF for about $18. I don't know why they call it "organic" vermiculite, I guess a sucker is born every minute.

My buddy just picked up a timberwolf and I'm stoked to run it up against my husky 460. I feel like that's it's main competitor and the best head to head.
