It’s been great man.. easily the best thing I’ve done for my game. My jars have never looked better. Highly recommend it if you’re a SHIP grower. I haven’t done a 100 jars with it or anything but so far so good and the confidence I have after doing inoculations is priceless

I haven't seen that yet, need to look that up, but I don't mess with jars anymore.

EDIT: I'm referring to a pin that's formed in a quart jar on oats, after the mycelium has fully colonized the spawn material.
Just because it looks good in a jar, doesn't mean it will produce well in another environment. I'd grab as many invitro pins as possible and test them. Least amount of cell divisions.

It's not a myth, it's a fact either. It's a good starting point though. I feel like plate pins and jar pins have a little more aggressive nature to fruit, it makes sense anyway. I'll throw a pin in a grain jar if it's impressive.

Indeed
It's an acquaintance of mine, I have posted a couple of his outlandish sales pitches here before including the green lc that was full after "2 days"
Now he's doing these collector series prints where he lines up 4 microscope plates and prints across all 4 then sells the individual plates for primo prices.
A single print split in 4 for more than you would pay for 1 print on foil.

Honestly glass makes a hell of a print. Slides are ideal. You can actually use all of the spores you want.
He's still silly for that green shit.

The only issue I have is they are clearly 1/4 of a full print which he sells for a hefty price. Regardless he has many customers.

I used to do all my printing in my old PF jars, they were definitely very workable.

1/4 of a print on a slide may be more usable spores than a full print on foil. It's hard to scrape that stuff off and the foil gets damaged easily.
I probably "waste" 95% of a print the way I utilize them. A slide has a place to grip it and you can just scrape off it till everything's gone.

You could use a swab to get the spores off the foil if your having a hard time. That microscope slide shit sounds unnecessary AF and overpriced. Link lol? And tweezers work great for hard to handle prints.

Anyone ever thrown several strains in the same grain jar/used several types of spawn in the same tub? I assume I’ll either have both fruit, or the fastest/strongest one will take over? I made way too many agar plates (newb so I made a lot in case they contaminated, but none did, so now I have 50 healthy plates between 3 cubensis strains and semis) so my partner suggested I all spawn them together as an experiment instead of tossing the plates. Putting my money on my AA+ taking over everything (the two others are allegedly B+ and GT), they’ve been really happy growers so far.

I've been dragging my cultures along via plate fruits quite extensively now. I think you want healthy agar recipes. Nutritional yeast made mine exceptionally better than before.

One of three things will happen:
1. They both fruit in their own sections 2. They’ll cross and you’ll get crossed fruits 3. One will outcompete the other and you’ll have nothing but that one variety
I think option 1 usually happens more often than the others

Scraping foil is awful, so I just started pressing the print right onto the agar, like a rubber stamp. Can even fold the foil across the print's center, then stamp one half on a plate and the other half on another. Or quarters, etc...
