For sure. Tea, chocolates or capsules. Chewing dried mushrooms is so gross.

Hi, a few quick newbie questions:
1. Can quart jars, specifically the lids with a hole in them, be re-used over and over again?
2. If so, does this hole need to be filled in with polyfill or something else when using in the pressure cooker?
3. Im planning to use Bod's oat tek. If I cook and PC enough oats for my 1st and 2nd grows, can I keep the PC'd oats (in jars obviously) for my second grow in the fridge for a few weeks until my first grow is approx 1 week from finished and then i can inoculate those PC'd oats and start spawning them so they're ready for the second grow?
thanks

The jars and lids can be re-used multiple times. I don't have a number for you but it's a lot of times. The hole needs to be filled with polyfil (what I use) or covered with a SFD before it goes into the PC and and any time it is full of grain. I personally wouldn't want to use grain jars that are a week old - they would probably work in a pinch but if you're already doing all the work then why cut corners?

After tripping quite a few times last year I came up with a pretty good concoction; kefir, lime juice, turmeric, black pepper, cinnamon, honey, finely ground desired dosage. I did this with up to 7.5g so it does pretty well as far as mitigating taste.

I can't taste or smell a damn thing because of the covid but I'll be too busy for a while to trip, which sucks because I could eat mushrooms or drink tea and not know if it was crackers, dog food, dish water or anything else lol. It's a shitty tradeoff since all my mush gets turned into chocolates to begin with and I can't taste beer, steaks, burgers, fresh produce or anything else, but eating mushrooms without bother seems like the literal only silver lining I can take away from covid

I don't get why people never talk about eating shrooms with meats or savory things. Which pairs good with the flavor or as good as It gets Imo. That or granola lol but tea has my heart. Nausea can go fuck it self In the corner. But some of the best trips when I ate shrooms vs tea Is when I ate them with brats. Then another time off hand BBQ pulled pork, you just gotta grind It up and let It soak up the sauce and you can barely tell. When I had some with brats I was camping In the woods with some friends. I was convinced a weird brain looking cloud was a alien space ship, and my asshole friends decide to shine flashlights at It. Later on coyotes got really close to camp cause we let the fire go out. It was a cluster fuck of a trip but a memorable one at least. Also bacon cheese ball Is another savory thing that works good to cover up shrooms and It's heavily customizable like granola.

I try to avoid dry shrooms whenever possible. treat fresh cubes like you would a store-bought mushroom.
saute em up and add a desired protein, some carbs and you're in for a great meal that will leave you full instead of achey and uneasy.
chitin is heavy for the gut, break it down somehow and watch the nausea fade away

Thumbs up for savory. Fresh mushrooms sauteed in a ham and cheese omelette were great. Re-hydrating even works okay for dried on pizza (put the mushrooms on under a layer of cheese).
But right now, I am loving gummies. Made from tea reduction, so it can be from fresh or dried and no nausea. Fast onset, easy storage and stealth. Just win, win, win.
To be fair (To be faaaair, To be faaaaaair, To be faaaaaaaair) I am just started with them and need to do more testing of how long they keep.

Phrontist said: What cubes (or something else if it can be grown in coir tub) would give me the largest NON-cap material? Both in terms of fruit size and cap-to-stem ratio.
I’m only interested in extraction for gummies at this point, and I get the least amount of taste by only using the stems. So I’m wondering what I can cult to reduce waste and get more out of my yields.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Some of the PE related varieties have fat stems and small caps. They are strong as well.
Hmm… I think I have some APE swabs. Maybe I’ll give them a whirl. Thanks!
Arr you just wasting caps?
"Waste" is a subjective term. I have no use for the caps, so tossing them isn't really a waste.
