Hello, there doesn't seem to be many filter options out there for flow hoods right now. Any seller recommendations?

If you’re in US, check out spycor. Solid price and great customer service. It will be a long wait I would imagine (guessing 1 month +) if you’re willing to wait that long.

Finally,, I have what I think is at least a couple of healthy[ish]-looking bags of oats. They are my first possible success with oats after maybe a year.
Shall I send all of these to monos? Give them a day or two to re-consolidate? Trash em?

I am looking to build one myself and have noticed the same thing. The ones I have found are quite expensive just like the blowers and I can't seem to find the static pressure info on the ones I have found or a performance curve for the blowers so I can match the 2 up so I have actual laminar flow.
If you come across something please do post it here and if I find something I will do the same.

I could see the lid being PP5. I’d be surprised if the jar wasn’t PETE1

That's a great price on 12x12 and 12x24's but they want u to order 2 or 4 filters at a time? Kinda defeats the purpose of saving money and building a mini hood for small batches. Plus no mention of static pressure rating which seems to be hard to find on almost every website. How do they expect us to match to a blower??? fuckers lol
Thanks for the link dude. Ive been having trouble finding a filter that isnt stupid expensive.

6" 99.99% filters have about 0.6" static pressure at 90fpm. They are generally the same unless it is high capacity or a special pack.

The jar is definitely PP5. Says so on the bottom. Not 100% on the lid but I’ll just put one of my PP lids on as they’re a standard size! Happy days!

you can test melting temp with a temp adjustable soldering iron, just let it heat up to your set temp (250f) and poke and see if it melts.

I think these days FFU’s are around the same price as getting together all the materials for a DIY flowhood.
I’m in the UK and spent months researching and getting a parts list only to find that I would be saving about £70 against buying a ready out the box 2X2 FFU from quite a reputable Myco supplier in the UK.
Plus you have the time and effort involved.
Don’t get me wrong though, building a flowhood from scratch would definitely be very fuckin satisfying as I’m sure a lot of the guys that’ve done it will tell you.

Same with the states. I spent $75-100 extra and trust the product more then my work. Now I can probably work blindfolded and do horrible things and get results.

I don’t know what size you’re planning on but the 24x24 glasfloss filter you can definitely order only 1. 24x24 is the smallest I’d go anyway.
99.99% efficient, metal frame. $280. Same filter I have matched with Dayton 1TDU2. Blower is super overkill, but I have it choked down with plywood and a prefilter and it works perfectly.

Nice, I've just got 2 furnace filters and the bottom on the Mason jar cardboard leaned up against mine lol

I need some opinions here for my own sanity.... Looking at these jars of lc, would you say there is any possibility they are 2 days old from wedge inoculation?

I don't see a stir bar either.

I think i see the stir bar in the first jar on the left but I don't buy that's 2 days from a wedge.
