Why would polyfill be rendered useless by a grain change? Am i misunderstanding something?

No, I am most certainly overcomplicating things and sometimes I just can't keep myself from asking dumb questions lol. I've just been hearing a lot of people say millet gets caught under or stuck to their filters or somehow gets caught in their lid threads, which I still haven't figured out how that would happen

You can always put a piece of mp on the bottom of the hole to help with moisture loss and prevent shit from getting into that hole

I've been having to do that since I made my ge holes way too big for the dead of winter here, grains were getting pretty dry but the mp tape worked great for that

I have stopped using polyfil and use 5-6 layers of mp tape now, prefer the micropore tape after years of using polyfil.

Fold a pice of tape in half and stick it under the mp tape, grains don't stick that way.

you go different directions with the tape? I don't know why my brain says it's best. I only use tape too. Or flex tape and just seal it up...

Man I just can't figure out where this bacteria is coming from. Increased PC time & pressure, unmodded/modded lids, etc. Still get wet spots and floral or chocolate smells before shaking.

Some cultures are just dirty. Go PFtek->agar.

8 different cultures of cubes, and ATL7 and Ovoids? I just don't see how they could all be bad. Haven't seen a hitchhiking mold under my scope either.
And why would I do PFtek to agar?

Is there an ideal temp or range for dehydrating cubes?

I just set my dehydrator to 160F and let it rock for 24-48 hours

This. It’s the only tek we need. Accept no others. Air dry, low temps, refrigerate in a paper bag, shorter duration, etc. is all bullshit. Get the water out fast and thoroughly.
- Don’t forget to eat a fresh one now and then!

if spawn is clean then it's your agar to grain tek? What type of lids your running? What's your grain prep?
