Yeah, I do Crack's TEK. 1 cup dry millet 1/2 cup water into the jar and PC. I think they just cooled down before I got em shook. Haven't had any problems shaking it loose since I started running the 75x and keeping the jars completly out of the water. These I ran 5 hours but didn't get to them for 24 hours after cooldown.
Can I nocc em or did I trash em?
ALSO
Any input on my one colonized bag of oats? [again, just one pic]

Sounds like it's mostly caused by too much water alongside overcooking thebbottom in the hot water instead of removing immediately.

I prob wouldn’t expand those but for sure they’ll be perfect for a mono.

I have seen some here but i dont like it, what i love more about doing grains is shaking them, and coir its so easy to use.. not worth imo.

I run my grains only in the 75x, so the water is always below the grate and trivet. I could never get this TEK in the Presto, until I did a double trive and elevated the jars completely out of the water.
I think it was the 5-hr PC run unstead of the 4 that I was doing. That and letting the jars sit an extra 10 hour
This TEK, As I ran it previously was always perfect for giving the jars like 3 smacks and 3 shakes and done. another
Clarifying:
The mono you are referring to is for the bag of oats?
Lastly, can I use the clumped jars for cubes? If not, I am guessing that Super Reishi could pawn them bitches.

Lately I've been thinking of grain prep as getting the grains to 'field capacity'. The thing about grains that differs from coir is that you can lower its capacity. When I PC grains for 5 hours, they begin to break down, and can't hold as much water.... at some point turning to mush.
If you want real nice and dry grains, get them to just shy of their capacity and don't destroy them in the PC. I started doing smaller bags of birdseed just so I could lower my PC time from 4.5hr to 3.75hr. The grains visibly looked "fresher" and lighter colored.
this might be at play with the clumping.

Point is you and me are experienced. Im making these for the people who dont even have pressure cookers yet. Could really work well for high co2 mushrooms. You could even do it with masters mix and sawdust. Experiment ongoing..........

A shoebox kit would be pretty simple to throw together.. the all in ones seem to want to skip the easiest parts of growing… prepping the CV and spawning. Give ‘em 80gm of dry coir, a cup of verm and 1 prepped qt of grain and a shoebox. Tell em to boil 2 cups of water and throw it in the coir, mix the verm in, let cool and mix the grain and cv together.. could have 40gm of coir, 1/2 cup of verm in another bag for (1 cup water they add) for a top layer.
Maybe I should do that lol. I’m just bored, carry on lol

Gunna do that too.
These bags could be really good for when shit goes wrong though as you only have 2 factors, inoculation LC- inoculating bag....

I get it and there’s obviously a market for em but they seem to take too much of the fun out of it.. so do you have to wait til the myc fully colonizes the grains without a shake or do you knead the bag around where the grains are leaving the cv section intact? I guess that would sway me considerably.. if you have to wait for them to colonize from the inoc points, it’d just take too long
Ai1’s were destined to be a thing sooner or later

Sadly, not everybody's in it for the fun. Hell, I started cult just because I wanted to trip and didn't know where to get any. Fell in love with you guys and the cultivation process. Now, I don't even eat mushrooms very often but I continue growing them because I enjoy it and I like to hang out with you.

that's exactly where I'm at. I used to have a solid source for LSD and mushrooms but that well ran dry. My wife and I were planning a Valentines day snowboarding/natural hot springs trip and we both wanted to trip so I ordered a couple syringes and made an account here...NOW look at me I was trippin a few times a week for a while but now if I do once a month that's gettin' pretty crazy for me lol. I truly love this hobby and this community

For real. The last time i had a serious psychedelic experience was DMT and i havent gone back deep into the waters again yet. Been almost 2 years. The process gives me something to do with my hands that i love and can help me and other people greatly. Thats what the DMT spirits showed me at least. As well as the human experience and all of us connecting which is very important. We just happen to have a common love for fungi in here.

I think that most of the active users in mush cult are in the same boat.

It's a serious (dumb?) question. First attempt at shrooms. I see the pins for sure but is there mold mingling in there?

It's most likely bacterial, doesn't mean you need to toss it though.
