You could always add the shroom dust (I assume you plan on using) right before you pour the candy. I make hard candy with cannabis oil and add the oil at 245° then mold.
That's not a bad idea that I hadn't thought of! I was planning to boil about 2 ounces down to 3/4 cup of tea concentrate to use in the recipe for more even distribution/accurate dosing, hoping for each candy to be in the ballpark of 1.5g

If this works out it will open up a lot of edible options for me to experiment with and I plan on doing a writeup for gummies, chocolates, hard candies and a few other goodies. Fingers crossed!

Are you using tea for chocolate? I would imagine your chocolate would seize big time with the added water. I've made mushroom bars with dust and they are great. My most popular candies atm are chocolate bars, caramels, PB cups, Mallow cups, and Ninja Snacks (chocolate with caramel and peanuts). I'd be happy to give recipes if interested.

Definitely not using tea in my chocolates lol my chocolates just get tempered, add a huge amount of dust and smash into a mold to set. I'd love to hear some of your recipes though! I'm tinkering with some PB cups at the moment and have been wanting to use a tea concentrate to make caramel but I would probably be better off just mixing space dust into the caramel. The reason I'm interested in using tea concentrate instead of powder is for more accurate dosing but also because I occasionally get nausea from eating the actual fruits, but not from tea.
I'm going to make an 'official' edible thread with several recipes/ideas in the near future and will encourage people to share their own recipes. Would you mind if I link you in or use a couple of your recipes in it?

Hard candies like suckers or jolly ranchers basically start off as simple syrup with the addition of corn syrup but you have to heat it to 300F for it to restructure the crystals which makes it hard and more shelf stable.

Thats correct, and you can make chocolate with simple syrup... set up that thread and I'll be there. Hell I might go make that test batch. Just a little one... need a guinea pig...
...maybe I've gone crazy.

It seems like technically this might turn into "chocolate candy" of various sorts, but if mars and nestle get away with their shit so can I!

I'm pretty swamped with homework, finalizing payroll/invoicing/expense reports, etc to close out my work season. Not to mention two little kids, a wife and Christmas breathing down my neck, but I'm hoping to get the edible thread started this weekend. Everyone who has been expressed interest will be linked in or at least notified. I'm planning on putting it in Mush Cult to get a few extra views but I'm expecting it to get moved to the Experience shortly after it gets started.
Anyway, I'll be burning the midnight oil tonight - I just got my PC vented and waiting for it to come up to pressure for my first 2 hour grain run of the season! I'll be noccin' up 10 jars tomorrow Got a cold redbull in the fridge for the morning before my 8am class lol

I made it work, it's a little funny and I haven't bioassayed. Gotta reduce the syrup and add lots cocoa and lecithin before adding cocoa butter or chocolate. I made. Ine too weak to bother with the sugar personally

Test on agar. Impossible to ID contams in LC, for me at least.

First grains of the season just got done cooking so now I'm waiting for the PC to get down to 0, load the jars into the SAB to cool over night and I'll be able to come straight home from school and drop some agar in. Ghost, PE, Yeti, Mak and a surprise culture. It's good to be back!
I probably should have staggered these cultures a little bit - I may have to get another dehydrator lol

What would you do with a semilanceata culture that is producing stones?
How to set that up?

Oh man! Cyan’s are really nice. One gram was almost like 3 grams maybe? Two and a half g’s? Sounds about right…
Next time I think 2.5 grams will be my dose, with one gram I just started getting closed eye visuals.

Lol shit, you know them pictures where one person sees one thing and somebody sees something else, then they point out their view and then you can't unsee it.
The green literally looked like it was climbing up the glass, but now I see it's quite clearly on the outside.

You sound like me Bigfoot! This is peak season in the transportation industry, finals week at university, Christmas, and keeping time to spend with the wife and kid while squeezing in time to keep my cultures going and searching for the best genetics.
Around MLK I plan to make some slides if my latest plate pin pans out into good genetics.
Can't wait to read the edible thread!
