So I just found 3pk eco earth coir bricks for sale online for 4.99 each. Site offers free shipping on any order over $49. Considering the price of shipping ~30 bricks of coir, I might have to jump on this. Would you?

Aneres got the same deal a while ago. Probably from the same website.
She grabbed 10 3pks for the free shipping.
I'd be all over that deal if I could

On another subject do you guys have any insight on sub depth? I am thinking if the substrate is loose enough should it matter? Please check this out and let me know what you think of This grow any insight is welcome

I stick around 2-3 inches

Definitely try to do the same with my monos. My logic is they need proper aeration and it helps prevent them from burning up. But this is just an assumption. Those pods have really been proving to me otherwise as the internal temp of the tub in between the pods doesnt exceed 75.
They were very healthy after the first and second flush. didnt seem to fall apart or look any different than the substrate of my monos do after 1st/2nd flush.
Trying to figure if they just prefer the depth optimally or if its entire based on volume. is it that the only reason thick subs are bad is because the volume of the tub? if you have a small volume like the pods, does it matter the depth?

I have just been told some homies in here were working on sub depth and the difference it makes to performance, so i thought it would be appropriate to bring up and interesting to get some insight on this thought.

Excalibur question....How many trays do you actually get into the 9 tray version at once? I might get 5 in there if the shrooms arent too big..

These things feel very over priced...I want to build one, but...no time right now...

I can work three in my five tray.  Honestly, you're paying for a quality product that can take some abuse.  I've had mine running 24/7 for two weeks at a time in the fall/spring hunting seasons.  It took it, took it all.  No hiccups, no element burn outs, no fan wobbles.

It's been going for about five years now with minimal upkeep and not a single problem.

I'd gladly buy another.

I can only get about 4 trays into the 9 tray...How long does it take you to hit cracker dry? I must be drying too long and your shrooms must be really dense.

Which grain would be better for growing stones, wheat or whole oats? Does it matter? I plan on inoculating half gallon jars with a Jalisco lc that is almost done, or should I use quart jars instead?
