Thanks to the bare bones corporate method of supply chains in the US we can expect the supply issues to worsen and never get better. Climate change will also be devastating crops from now on. I think it would be best for us to be flexible in our grain preference and tek from now on.

To make a optimistic take on this.... the inflated walls might hinder condensation problems. Might make a very happy/snug substrate. The plugs look to be sealed and breathable foam.
Shippable. fuck, I don't know. Don't hate it.

Mine went from $5 to $8 for 50lb and I'm outraged lol..Couldn't resist, cheap grains are the only perk of living in the heart of agriculture country so I don't have much to brag about

Quick question. Can I grow out psilocybe cyanescens on agar at room temp, or should I put them in a colder sitch? Anything else? light?

I can't think of a mushroom I've looked into at any point from morels to truffles to cordyceps to psilocybes that's doesn't colonize around 70. I think mycelium benefits from small amounts of indirect light.

Magic fruit leather 2.0

About 2gs per piece. Might find a good mood to do this so they're more even... Will do a write up soon enough
And they roll. Throw these in some packs and in the fridge

Getting down on bottle tek
Got some nice stuff on t2 and t3 going in those

I think I may switch to wide mouth pints exclusively. I can pack a ton in my 75x, more than the 2 dozen I have though I need to get some pizza pans for trivets They are the best for bottle subs. Making pint master's makes sense, losing 1 to a bad wedge is nbd. And they are easier to hold with my f'd up hand.
Been using these knockoff josex bottles to make 75 ml lcs, just enough to get a 50 ml syringe full.

What's the consensus on no soak / precook grains these days? I've seen it done for millet and maybe oats. I'm looking for low contam rates, ease / quick, and a cheap cereal grown in the uk so I'm thinking oats or wheat most likely. Thanks

How likely do you think it is that I could put an 8 month old, dried up grain to agar and get it to grow out? I'm going to try it either way, I'm just wondering how high I should get my hopes up lol.
Well I'm about out of hope for this culture that has all but gone fucking extinct apparently. I have a media bottle full of mycelium that I'm assuming is dead - I took two sterile swabs, dipped them in to grab a clump of myc and swabbed a plate each, mostly to test its cleanliness but hoping to get some clean growth to work with. Not a damn thing has grown in 2 weeks (I guess it's good to know that it wasn't contaminated at least lol). Then I got excited as all hell because I found some old grains of it, plopped about 6 onto a plate expecting mycelium to jump off the grain and it hasn't done a damn thing in a week.
I did only lay the grains on top of the agar, maybe I should have smashed them into the plate better. I still have a few grains left that I'll smash into a new plate but damn this is frustrating...

I use a mango pineapple juice blend so it's full of citric acid. And I plan on freezing them too, during they thaw before use so not to crack and will probably stay good forever really. I out a bit of honey in there too, so it's pretty much all sugar. Potency should be interesting. But I've heard of people saving ice cubed tea for a while so. I'll do one
