if its knitting and pinning, do you leave the water because thats a bad time to disturb the substrate?

Oops I meant knoting or pinning. I just run it down the side because it's going to start using more water. I usually bottom water around then too

Just got a pickup letter for a grow box, it's been around the nation and back to its daddy.
Will it be a contamination, or pristine from freezing or being refrigerated in a unheated post storage?

sorry, just a tad confused about what u mean by grow box. u mean a spawned box(tub) is being sent to you? or a fruiting chamber is being sent?

I send growboxes in the mail sometimes, it's wonky to pack, and the recipient never picked it up. Now it's been god knows where for 2-3weeks and im curious what type of bio bomb I'll find when I open it.
If it's been cold stored it has a chance , if it's been kept warm it's probably a total mess

And hopefully not a trip to prison courtesy of USPIS.
I would not go near that post office. Do you know why the person didn’t pick it up? If they tried to do a controlled delivery and the guy didn’t bite they might be trying for you now.

There's no way I'd answer a letter from the government to pick up an illegal drug manufacturing kit.

Ha ha. Now I’m imagining a scenario where the people at the post office opened up your package and started eating em.
Cops are supposed to have a warrant to open packages but we all know they just do whatever they want most of the time.
And it was a blue oyster kit anyways right?…

Enjoil the post inspector can open whatever for suspicion, it's their job. That said just package things properly and they won't be suspicious. Homie said he got a call cause his friend from out yonder sent him a stinky bud box. Post master let him play dumb but he's not asking gooberface to send fuck all ever again.
My post office is legit, and the new girl was nice. Got more holiday stamps!!! Salty I can't get this seasons wreath stamps. Family recycled the damn order for an the girl said the PO didn't get any themselves.
I'm maybe gonna collect stamps and bourbon now...

Just to be clear, a postal inspector still must obtain a warrant to open any package. They do not have the authority to open packages on a whim. That is one the best reasons to use USPS over other couriers. They must obtain a warrant to open your package. UPS and FedEx are private and can open any package they want for any reason at any time without a warrant.

Has anyone worked with agar and clones observed that sometimes clones grow very rhizo at T0 but turn to tomentose after t1 and takes and a few transfers ‘to get it back? Anyone know any reason? I am already on low nutes on agar but just can’t figure out why some clones don’t want to stay rhizo

I feel one component to the puzzle is the size of tissue sample. A larger, less disturbed tissue chunk seems more likely to remain ropey.

I have a few cultures that stay rhizo no matter how I transfer, but there is this one that no matter how I transfer (small, large, transferred on the myc side down, up, on the side). It does it consistently, i used up about 100 plates and just no luck, well I guess i just go with no rhizo then
