I'm about to fucking lose my shit.
I got some new hoods and they're 3 phase.... Is there any hope or should I just die now?

I had the same worry as soon as I opened mine today and saw this with no plug / cable.

But I’m thinking this can be wired up to a standard plug

Oh, those are ffu. I was thinking conventional flow hoods.
I took a class for work one time and this engineer mentioned to a classmate that he could use a vfd for a three phase lathe he had bought at an auction.

Strip that wacky motor bullshit off and build a custom hood with the filter.
It's not like it will even sit on its side that things looks awk af
Big filters have trouble with low pressure areas thought hats why they have so many fans...may not be able to get a really good functional laminar flow from such a big filter easily.

And I had to make a frame for my last ffu.
I got two 40 by 44s for 750. Should I try to sell them and make a few bucks or build a frame and put blowers on it? I would need like 2100cfm and I can get 700cfm blowers for like 200, then wood and all that other shit.....
I still have a 2x2 and a 2x3 but fuck. I moved everything around and shit. My god u guys. I really shit the bed here.
Noones familiar with trying to convert single phase to 3 phase..?

Honestly if it is that much of a headache just sell the shit and move on. You already have two other hoods.

Store them away and learn how vfd's work. I'm sure you can figure it out if you have the patience.

Idk my dad just looked at it and he thinks it will work. I saw a YouTube videos of people using them for rotary tools and the listing on Amazon says it works for fans and HVAC. It's only 90$ and returnable so I think it's worth a shot..
**** Ordered it. Stay tuned to see if you can get 3 phase power to you hood for less than 100 smackeroonies

Yeah the 2 phase converters put out 3 phase with high efficiency. Motors are motors. You could even use it to finetune the speed of the fans if that was cool.

Got some nice germination on some whyte gold, aper, aa pacman gill, rw x twc and one nat plate. 3 out of 4 nat plates look horrible, some yellow slime eeeeeew. The print looked a bit dodgy though so I'm not surprised.

As if I wanted somebody's unproven and undocumented strain enough to pay for it?
This was my first thought. I assume it’s for people that have trouble getting a clean culture. But if you can’t get a clean culture on your own you certainly can’t keep one, so you got to do what? Buy a syringe every time you prep some grain? Seems like a lot of effort to avoid doing the work. Now if it was a banger culture that throws off canopies of curiously strong and fast growing cubes sure, then I may throw a 20 at it but how you going to prove that? And even if you did once one of us got it we would just give it away so...
