I don't think this necessarily decides it for me unless he has a reasoning around it. I really want it to be true but.

Was going to say I think that's gospel. I don't want to be following false gods. Seems to really know it all and more, look at mushroom observer or any of his work.
Cheers!

Hey, I'm going to start some outdoor cyan patches here in the coastal PNW on my friends 80 acres of pasture/forest. Doug fir, alder, big leaf maple. He has a huge chipper & tractor. I have cyan colonized wood chips and cardboard from a knowledgable friend.
Where on the land should we make our patches? Any places better than others?
Current plan is... bare some ground... cardboard... woodchips.... colonized material.... more wood chips.... straw on top. Lots of water to moisten.

Found a nice labware manufacturer that makes pp petris. Can get them for less than $1/plate if you get 2 dozen or more. Also makes media bottles of various volumes that may be very good for LC too.

Okay, no response from my question on P. Cyans growing outdoors. Can anyone point me to a good read on setting up the outdoor beds? I've been searching without luck.

No luck in the official WL thread? Or are you referring to pan cyan?
I like this one by liloldme:

If you mean pan cyan then this by Zifozonke worked well for me:

Oh god, both start with P. ha. Philocybe Cyan.
Thanks for the link, and I'll look in the woodlovers thread again.
