When i worked on the shiitake farm we just had them rubber banded and would unload them once they were cool enough to handle, usually the ones at the bottom were still hot but then again we were doing 200+ bags at a time.
Can i steralize and then inoculate fresh pumpkin seeds? Was searching around and didn't find anything.

No problem with that if you're careful when unloading them and nocc them somewhat quickly, I wouldn't seal if that was my workflow.
I tend to run bags everyday and stack them up, inoculating many at once. Therefore the preseal provides peace of mind for my system.
I've had many unsealed bags sit around for a month and colonize just fine once inoculated.

seeds of most varities tend to have too high oil contents to colonize well.

You can unload hot, they seal immediately after pressure drop.

Cool video! I popped like half my run in my 941 a couple days ago, i got lazy. Idk if its because i let it get up to 25psi, or i didnt cool it down slowly enough.. probably the latter? I just didnt think i would jave these problems with an AA
And thats good to knoe they seal after pressure drop

I find that if you cover the filter when you wrap it can pop, make sure to wrap with the filter facing up.

I was always unsure about the sealing of bags, there’s some really good teks out there, hardly any of them involve pre sealing.
First time I did bags I didnt seal them. Like he says they seal themselves in the pressure drop.
It’s science I tell ya

I did, really try at least, i know i didnt fold them inward. Does it matter if theyre against another bag or the walls?
Have you found the rack necessary or is it kind of just to keep the lower bags straight or?

They last for a good while on the shelf so long as you don't disturb the seal. I've had bags lose their seal from moving them back and forth all of the time to make room for other shit, if you leave them be they're gtg.
I find that flipping the steam vent open while under pressure tends to pops bags as well.

Touching each other or the walls makes no difference, my bags never ever pop.
The rack is necessary in a 75x because it has an internal element, spacers and a trivet will also be necessary for other units as per usual operation.
I never use the insert and I've removed the vent tube.

I know the one or two time I tried in the past I didn't handle carefully enough and some in the presto just didn't work out or something.

They're not fragile, you can definitely move them around normaly but if you over handle them (I moved mine back and forth 5 or 6 times because I only made them for the video) they may fail, not a guaranteed fail but I had 2 bags fail after about 4 weeks.
Probably best to seal them post cycle if they're going to sit for a while. They're sealed well enough post cycle that you could seal them in open air.

Amateur here coming back to do a grow after about a year out
What is something you wish you had remembered or paid more attention to on your first grow after such a hiatus? I have my old notes but feel like it’s easy to miss something obvious

Take your time, rushing to get a flush is going to fuck all kinds of things up, most notably your spawn.

Don't expand a culture too much until it's clean enough to be worth the materials. If you can get a spectacular looking T3 with just 4 plates you can use the rest of the sleeve to make a bunch of prime innoculant. 16 grade A jars/bags will get you really far. 16 sketchy jars/bags might not get you anything. Impatience leads to frustration. Stay positive and take your time.
A couple extra transfers only takes an extra week or two, but success is worth months of failure+retry.

Why seal 2x. The bags form a crazy seal if done properly and you can do it outside and it remains sterile. Then open that seal with no tools and do your work and then seal.

Whats the highest psi youll let it get up to?
And i know it sounds crazy almost, but how do you cool it down or how long do you try to let it cool down or how slowly should i let it try and drop in pressure?
I know people say you cant let the pressure drop too quick.. how quick is too quick, like losing 5 psi in a couple minutes, in 10 minutes..

I let the 75x hit 20psi and then set the dial, it will fluctuate between 17 and 20psi for 4 hours.
I don't need more than 9 or 10 bags at a time usually so I let them cool until the next day.
If you want to run a back to back cycle just let it drop naturally to 0 before opening the lid, don't try to speed the process up.

Well dont you let the sterilizer cool down slowly?
Or you just turn it off completely after 4 hours?
Im talking about intentionally cooling your PC slowly to avoid popped bags.
Like to ensure this doesnt happen..?

Sorry im still trying to wrap my head around the physics of popped bags in a pc.. i wish i could explain it bettee
