I’ve never seen that here, nothing close. I guess people just don’t take new/corrective information well and think everything is personal.
I think it was way more common before your time.
When I first joined and was learning the ropes, we had a good handful of asshole TCs along with high-post count contributors posting in mush cult. Shit, I can recall 4 names off the top of my head right now but Id rather not throw anyone under the bus. Its a nice throwback when I see them come up in search results.
The forums have chilled out and come a long way since.

IM NOT HERE TO SPOON FEED YOU
Ok then why the fuck did you reply? That shit used to happen a lot. There's a difference between someone showing up though and asking for a few gaps to be filled in their understanding versus the "I just ordered spores teach me everything and I'll be disrespectful when I don't get exactly what I want" types.
Place has definitely adopted a more "let's help new users grow mushrooms because the more the merrier" mantra, which I support.

Having other people's work to stand on is nice. We can't all do all the lab work to produce all the new varieties on our own. I wonder how many people have had success from my Melmac giveaway. I'm excited for these TOPE...

Do you use the stainless steel support rack?
I've used your method in the 75x before with good results, I just don't like how the bags are creased when they come out.

I stack them like so.

I wish! a lot is relative of course. I started a few years ago with a few hundred dollars. I have invested over time for sure. If I had a lot I'd buy a farm.
I have had a large fail rate this last year still cause of this that aaand the other. Right now I'm finally confident my cultures are clean and I bought 1000 bags a while back so I decided to maximize my yield for time invested by ditching jars and running all bags tossing agar right in. 8 at a time in the AA75X piles up quick running twice a day. I'm doing hot soak wheat so I prep grain in like 6 hours per 2 5 gal buckets which fills like 12 bags.
Bags are like 30cent the grain is like $1/bag. Coir costs about as much per tub. Liners cost a smidge.
For example 2/9 of my current tubs were trash. There are several "colonized" bags in the pic that will be meh and probably several other bags overall.
Realizing what a big pile this is I'm gonna toss a lot of F2 work in the fridge and go pasteurize some straw and switch to sterilizing masters mix. I need some good eats...

Wow! Impressive!
I DO, like bags. I am in the process of doing bags (a lot of them) to grow sclerotias in bulk.
I only have a small PC (I'm in Europe), and so can only PC one bag at a time.
Here's my procedure:
- Prepare a pre-sealed unicorn mycobag every day for 5 days.
- Hang the bag for 15 minutes for air to get in.
- Setup the lab (because I can't leave the flowhood out all the time - not enough space in the house).
- Inoculate the 5 bags with LC (closing the hole with a glue gun).
- Repeat X times.
Does that sound good to you? Or do you have a better method? pointers? or a Shroomery thread you advise I should read?
Thanks a lot!
