If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck and grows in the exact same spot where you just buried a duck then it's probably a duck.
Nice job! which semilanceata genetics are pinning here? Really looking forward to some nice photos of them growing up.

Closer shot, I found more pins, and sadly heavy rain has loosened almost 4 pins from the main colony. Don't think they will mature or grow larger now.
Very sad. But still seeing more pinning in both pots
Took the pins to agar for cloning, best use of them when this happens. Also kinda required if it's genetics that are tolerant of corn/coir

Bought some new tubs today.
My guess is this is bacteria growing on the condensation?
Pretty cool.

Possibly, but I kinda don’t think so.
I’ve had the same patterns pop up on condensation of my old plates back when my contam rate was high.
And there’s dots / splodges too. These came in packs of 3 and the lids were all nestled in tight af.
I could be wrong

Could be mites. They make those stupid patterns in condensation and fuck everything up.

Trail like swirly patterns in condensation on petris is almost certaintly caused by mites.

Mites are a huge problem in cult. Lots of people dont even realise they have them until theres an infestation because theyre small and go unnoticed.

Some time last year, I bought a syringe from a trusted vendor and each plate I put it to would end up a swirly mess. Could even see them walking around inside if you looked real close.

They were fucking me up for a year and a half. Even found them in 2 day old unused plates. Found out that 6 seconds in the microwave will kill them, but you'll still be left with mold coming from it's carcass. Pray to God you don't get them if you only have unmodded plastic lids for your jars. Your style lid design with both felt and sfd is the only one that really keeps them out

Yeah, poured petri plate. Was more just to see if I could kill it and keep the plate. There was a spot of mold where it died but it didn't get too big.
