Or your PC PC wayyy too packed and the steams not getting around the bags enough, not enough spacers, and core temp is never achieved.

Another thing I was going to say, and I know it might sound crazy, but your oats look dry ha idk. Qnd if that were the case it could be a improper sterilization. But you checked the hydration also?
They're presealed uninoculated
The 75x doesn't have a rocker. I am not sure how I can test the gauge but it seemingly works just fine. The 18 bags were done in two sessions. I am not sure if all four were from the same session or not.
The oats were properly hydrated before sterilization.

9x 3qt bags fit comfortably in my 75x. 11x 3qt bags is stuffing it. Believe me, I have tried.

Bad filter, bad seems, etc. I'd be pretty surprised to hear that he's using 3t bags.

I've experienced popping from folding bags with the filter under the wrap as apposed to above, and from quickly popping the steam valve.
When Wrapping with the filter exposed and allowing the pc to cool naturally I've not experienced a single popped or compromised bag.

Yes. They are 3T bags. No. I am not going to call the supplier out. I let the 75x completely cool before opening. I slowly bleed the valve to make sure that there isn't any vacuum. I used and prepped the same bags from the same supplier from November 2020 to May 2021 with absolutely no contamination issues. The only thing that has changed between May and now is I received my 75x in June. Before then, I was using my AA 921.

Well that's a pickle. Yeah I wouldn't recommend contacting the supplier, lol.
Hope you figure it out, I'm sure you'll get to the bottom of it sooner or later.

I agree with what p9 has been saying. Unless the bags are still full of mostly vacuum, some dirty air has found its way in. This will always happen unless you have some kind of filter exposed. With jars and bottles, people say the shape and wetness of the threads/foil will cause microbes to fall or get stuck; I'm not sure if that's true, but with bags there is no corresponding element that will trap microbes.
But beware I don't know about all the physics of bags. The point is, if the pressure in the bag rises over time (and it might still look tight), air is getting in.

With all the plastic resin shortages from covid bullshit I wonder if newer bags are being made with sloppy quality control?
I use plastic cups at work and we re stocked from the same supplier and I swear these polypropylene cups are thinner and more flimsy.. just a thought.

Could I use 70% in my burner?

This could be part of the issue although I would imagine everyone would be having the same problem.
I had a back and forth with a well known vender. One that everyone swears by. I told him that the particular batch of bags that I bought were thinner and causing issues. I told him that I had to turn my impulse sealer down from its normal setting or else this particular batch of bags would melt. They wouldn't budge so I refused to buy more from him. So I went back to my original supplier only to find out that their bags are now thinner also.
I am going to run a few batches of jars and see what happens. If all goes well, I may just stick wirh jars. I want to be more environmentally friendly anyway and to source locally whenever I possibly can.

Hey coversall, I bought an alcohol lamp when I just started mycology but haven’t been able to find any burning alcohol. All I have is 70% etho and it only works if you physically soak the wick and after 30mins it won’t light. I was kinda bummed out but I’ve been using a bic lighter ever since.
All the tips of my tools are black…

Free shipping, over a hundred cheaper than Amazon each, no bad reviews for the site I can find....
What you you guys think? Bite the bullet and make the investment? Keep praying to the presto gods for luck?
https://www.priorityhealthsupplies.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=AA1941X&CartID=1
And I'm torn kinda too. Idk if I should get 1 or 2 or maybe if I should get 3 1925x's... It would be cheaper by like 150 to get 3 1925xs and I would have 75q space instead of 80.. but then I probably couldn't run all 3 very easily at once...power wise.
Link for 1925x.. https://www.priorityhealthsupplies.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=AA1925X&CartID=2
Meh I'll probably get two 1941x for the sake of the future...

Had an issue running some jars last night in a 25x and was hoping someone could help me pinpoint the issue. Was running 9 quart jars (no idea how these magicians get the 10th in, maybe because I’m using plastic lids) and about 45 min after reaching pressure I heard a loud pop and saw steam escaping from all around the lid. Immediately cut of the 25x and assumed I had a jar explode. This morning after opening it up to clean there are no broken jars and nothing I can see that would have caused this. Possible I didn’t get the lid tightened all the way and the pressure popped it up? Maybe the excess pressure valve not working right? I’m fuckin’ confused. Thanks for any help!
