opened up 6 jars of millet that seemed to have stalled because of dryness and dumped like 40ml LC in for the heck of it. lets see what happens.

someone who very like is privy to accurate info told me that tor browswer is heavily monitored by those we don't want to know, :shrug" just to be hopefully safe, i use expressvpn plus fiefox containers

That doesn’t surprise me at all Space.
Question: maximum recommended LC per quart jar? And process to prep dryer for it? Rye grain.

A couple ml usually does it.
I did 60 one time and had to keep the jar on its side and roll it a little a couple times a day until it soaked the lc up
Took like two weeks and then suddenly the whole jar fuzzed up at once and was done.
Even if you prep the grain a little dry I wouldn’t go over 5 at the very most.

5ml of LC @ 4 days post noc:

I just did a round of poured jars prior to this that took 10 days to finish. 3 to 4 days just to really start fuzzing up. I did the math based on what LC was left, and that session each jar got like 18ml
less is more

Thank you guys appreciate you both
EDIT: what do you guys do with your LC lids when you take it off to pour? Put it upside down on the rack or something? I’ve only got a small flow hood but got 100ml of LC. I won’t be able to fit 20 jars in at a time and even if I could I understand that’s bad practice. I have a luer connector on my lid where a syringe can directly screw on so perhaps I’ll use that..

Can green mold attack a healthy tub if a lot of mushroom material is left after harvesting?
I have tubs developing mold late in to flush two on top old stumps. By this time my cake is almost completely covered with old stumps. I would say 95% is covered due to the heavy clustering from this culture.
When I harvest I cut 2-3 mm above and most of the time leave the based. Like I said the clustering is so heavy that almost no coir is showing after flush 2.
My question is, is the mold due to dirty spawn or the exposed mushroom material sitting on top of the sub?

Never had issues with mushrooms being left in the substrate even 4-5 flushes on.

I think it’s one of the only times that it’s not from the spawn.
I’ve had a powdery dull green mold start growing ontop of stumps and aborts a few times when I had tubs in a very dirty room.
It seems like the spores landed on them and germinated and there was nothing on the surface only the tips of the aborts at first.

Could well be from spores dropping then! I usually grab mine just in time. I like to get them before the caps open.
What do you guys think about using the flow hood in my sig on its side for bags .... not sure if it would damage it in any way lol. I’m thinking either that or just trying the bags on their sides. I’ve tried bags so many times now with consistent failure I’m nervous to give them another try. Although my contamination rate in general has dropped massively and my sterile technique is far better than it was when they were failing.

Thanks guys. That why I thought. I need to be more careful while harvesting and keep my tools clean. I think I’ll start cutting the mushrooms well below the sub and then cleaning them up after that.

Really? That’s odd. Was using a regular gas stove in the past but I’ve recently moved and am currently using propane yeah. I struggle to see where propane would cause issues in bags alone, just seems strange!

The flame creeping up the sides can pop it.
And maybe thay is wrong to say, depending on your burner, but most of the camping burners get too high, and even on the lowest setting won't allow you to "slowly" turn down your burner. Maybe if you have one of those really small countertop burners it might work. And small increments in the flame can be big pressure adjustments compared to propane ime. And I've always known fluxes were bad for bags, but I'm getting it a little more.
With glass it's a whole different story, although ive broken plenty of LC jars on propane for whatever reason.
Probably different if you have an all american too, their walls are thicker, which protects the plastic from the flame I'm better I'm sure and the insulation will mean some resistance to psi fluxes.

Ahh I gotcha now. My burner is at the perfect BTU rating for my presto, I’m hoping it’ll be okay! I’ll give it a go and I’ll let you know how I get on. Thanks for the heads up though, it’s prepared me for potential disappointment.
Though now I do think about it.. the pressure drops from 15-0 far quicker on this burner than it normally would.. which might lead to too fast of a cool and thus pop.

Try to cool it down slowly.
I'm just catching on to this.
But I guess I'm gunna preach it to baggers..

Yeah I guess I could just turn the temperature low low to drop it slower rather than cut it straight out. Fingers crossed. I’m mainly gonna be starting to use bags again for my gourmet venture, though if I can get them working for G2G from jars with my cubes I’d be happy too.

Excuse the double post, and the irrelevance to the thread, but I just want to say I fucking love each and every one of you. No matter how big or small each person's posts are, everyone here has made a contribution and since being on the shroomery my life has changed massively for the better. Mushrooms have changed my life and with me cutting out weed recently, being on here a lot more and speaking to you all is a fantastic escape as I'm learning something new every day and speaking with wonderful people. if it was on all the stumps it could be from dirty harvest tools. I wipe mine of with iso between tubs
