If you put a tiny slice in each jar you'll be waiting forever for full colonization

Anyone with experience using the hot pour method for germinating spores?
I just poured a small amount of warm agar on some spores in a plate and not quite sure what to expect. Will I eventually just see mycelium pop up on top and grow out?
Ya i have never used it but i know a few do warm and hot pours to germinate but it will grow throufh the same as a sandwich plate ..
Moab li will definitely go way farther 1 plate will do atleast 20 jars but one plate could also do 20 jars just from wedges but the bigger the wedge the fastee it will colonize

So what I'm gonna wanna do is make the LI, I'll go buy a blender shaker ball. Make the LI in a small jar. A half pint for easier pouring and measuring, for let's plan 12 TYC jars. That'll be good yeah?

Make a syringe if your having trouble or do a brf plate
Honestly I've tried everything except hot pour and LC. Even germination on PF cake. Hot pour was my last resort.
Unfortunately I don't have enough spores for LC cause there was almost nothing left of my print from trying to germ these spores for so long.
I harvested spores from the blank print by rubbing the tip of a cotton swab over the spot where the print used to be The swab was black on the tip and I dragged it through a plate and poured warm agar over it.
Crossing my fingers.
Hey boogieman (that's going to take some getting used to)
Only time I ever sandwiched
It grew past the sandwich and that's where I took my transfer. It ended up being clean but I just realized that I probably should have been transfering from the top of the sandwich lmao
Now I'm also thinking that the reason my plates lose colour after full colonization is probably due to the myc running through the agar dish

I did a warm pour once on non-viable pan spores from a print, didn't work, the spores were dead was going to buy some rattle snake venom in the grocery store but there was none that day.
It didn't work for me that time, but that doesn't mean is a bad method.
If RR swears by it, it's good enough for me. It also has other uses, like salvaging a severely contaminated culture, knoking out bacteria and molds long enough to give my celium a chance to resurface, then scraping the clean myc with an inoc loop as soon as it pokes through the new agar layer

Btw, rattlesnake venom is used to break the walls of the spores, some pros use it to create new varieties of mushrooms, like rr did with the pe6. But I was joking, it was a bad joke but I hate having to explain jokes

Tying social media to this hobby doesn't sound like it'll end well, but no, putting cubensis mycelium in the fridge won't be beneficial to it.

Spawn colonizes sub quickly within the first 3-4 days after that it slows down considerably.
Just what I've read will test when I actually can but IME I believe it.
