Thanks brother, what's the reasoning / benefits? What would be the difference between me doing 300ml and 400ml in a 500ml?

I like smaller broths as I only use them once (they must finish quicker as well?). 100ml is a fair bit of LC ime!
I tend to make 5 100ml LCs at a time, then use the quickest one. I don't mod the lids and just swirl them twice a day. I used a cube LC I made the other day, they took ~two weeks to finish up.

Good stuff - thanks again. I have a bunch of 250ml jars I'll do the same as you I think. So for unmodded LC lids are you using 2 piece or 1 piece? I have both but prefer to use one piece. Are you just having it a little loose in the PC and tightening it up like you would with agar bottles?

Yeah 1 piece, I use little media bottles for LC as they are great for when I want to pour rather than use a syringe.

Yeah, keep them loose and foiled in the PC then tighten up when you take them out.

Close to pulling the trigger on a toughshed and converting it to a clean room with a hood or wall unit (not sure about these need to research). Just wondering how tight those suckers are.
Ran a gourmet tent for awhile without issues in same area. Would just shut it down and wait and proceed as usual.
If you’ve been going that long with no issues it might be something else. But you don’t have to flip the box just take the lid off and put the tub right on the counter.

Yeah, figured as much. Wife watched the process and gets it from the outside and from a surgical point of view. She can't figure it out either.
Figured I could just remove the lid. I may try a trich solution from another forum.
To 1 quart of hot water add: 1 Tablespoon baking soda 1 Tablespoon washing soda (aka sodium carbonate) 2 Tablespoons TSP (trisodium phosphate)
shake, careful of pressure build up, take precautions as it's strong

You spray the solution on the walls?
I would try tub on the counter, or switching the lid for a damp towel. That’s supposed to catch all the stuff that falls to the bottom.
Do you use a rack or anything to keep stuff elevated?

Over the years rotated between a damp towel and racks. Took the rack out this year as I was playing with bags and that's tight in a SAB.
Feel weird linking another site. But if anyone wants to read through this thread. https://mycotopia.net/topic/107483-diy-mold-control-and-prevention-spray/

Put a top layer on it at spawning, so definitely make up some more cv. Dump in enough so that after leveling/compressing it's 1" thick.

Can I put them on top for the full 2 hours at 15psi without issue? Don't want to run it again just for a few of them, but I do need them to transfer from my good plates/.

Blue Helix said: "No one" you say? Going from LC to bulk works so well that it's all I do anymore. I get yields that are out of this world doing it. Here are some typical examples of what it's done for me:

Those little white ones are Ausi Pan Cyans--blew my head off with those suckers--followed by a picture of some Shiitake. I should have some Goliath Pan Cyans trays fruiting out early Jan. All of these in the pictures were done from LC directly to bulk.
Here is how I prepare the bags:
http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=faq&Number=4905507
And you CAN go from print to LC directly (did with most of mine), but you have to have a clean print or clean spore syringe. Spores to agar clean up to LC is a safer route. After all, you only need to do agar that one time, and you can store the LC in vacutainers forever after, maybe rejuvinating the culture with a LC-only run anually if you don't use it often. I'd only store a culture in the form of spores if you want to store on the order of decades or want to work on developing a superior substrain later via multi-spore culture clean ups.
If you do go from spore to LC, you need to understand that you can easily make an infected LC if the print is dirty. I was given some infected prints and tried to make LC from them directly awhile back. I learned the hard way what an infected LC looks like and how it acts. What's it look like? Well, I don't know all the flavors, but my little experienced showed me it can look like a super dense LC that is on steriods and develops too fast.
So, what is too fast? A better question is what is the right speed. Given about 3 ml of liquid culture inoculum, I now believe both cubensis and Pan Cyan liquid cultures should take between 3 to 4 days to fully develop even given ideal incubation temperatures. If you inoculated with spores add 2 or 3 days. If you have a stir marble and stir only daily double the figure. If you are using room temperatures (73F) add about 50% additional time.
I'd be interested to give this a test but the link doesn't work, anyone tried this successfully?

Yeah it’s pretty common with pans and gourmets.
You just mix everything up first, like for cubes coir and grain, then cook it and hit it with lc.
Sort of like giant pf cakes.

How is shroomery Facebook so far behind the shroomery?
I just went on Facebook for the first time in forever and one of the first things to pop up was an argument about whether or not you need to sterilize coir.

If you’re gonna be doing consistent grows of more than a few blocks you might want to just build a steam sterilizer. Probably cheaper and can do as many bags as you build it for.
