Anyone know where I might be able to find these filters? 19.5 x 19.5

None at my local home depot or lowes in that size. Might have to order some random ones off the zon.

Just barely screw down. Done...don't overthink. Unless I've been lucky since I switched, I've even started taping my old modified lids closed LOL (foil ofcourse)

Welcome to the clurb. The only downside, cult related, is it's more difficult for me to have outdoor grows due to the plethora of critters that eat grain.

fuckin amazing
He was also a time traveler then since Robert Johnson was born around 1911. That's one powerful cleaning.

Do you compress your substrate or just leveling?

You're correct but they've been out of stock for awhile and I figured I might be able to find them elsewhere in the mean time without paying the tax.

This is the reason I like the 'no cook, no prep' method of doing grain jars. I.E. pour dry grain into jar, add water, PC. This method ensures that there is a high degree of contact with contents of the jar (water) rather than relying on only the sides/ends of some grains and air (insulator) to conduct heat to the inner contents of the jar. The high surface area of contact of the water inside the jar will cause more steam to evolve in the jar pushing more air out of the jar and because steam IS a conductor of heat, will consistently produce a clean product/grain spawn.
I've sort of moved on from grain jars, now working with basically what you would put in a bulk tub I.E. 1:4 - 1:6 grain:compost into jars. Best thing about that is no need to shake hot ass jars, also if you just want to empty one out into a little tub, you can just fruit it without having to piss around with pasteurization of more bulk sub but obviously this would be small scale unless you just like filling and PCing jars of bulk sub mixed with grain. This first trial I used grain jars that I nocked up months ago that didn't do anything or showed only little growth.

The argument against destruction isnt without some merit but I don't think it holds up to our experience. Longer cycle times are required to penetrate the dense grain media, 2 hours as apposed to the 12 mins stated above, but for reasons mentioned earlier I think that 2 hours has been proven to be sufficient or else we would fail in some of our adopted practices, at least this seems reasonable to me.
This is why I want to run some tests to see how far I can push it.

No preps would be more prevalent if people trivially and often dropped those numbers but at the same time they are right there for anyone to find.
When I release my unified corn compendium for "corn all styles" I will be forced to include a no prep prep, and I suspect it will be the most used of the possible preps
Grain prep skill level when people are really good and source their favourite stuff, god quality grain jars are the result! But peoples lazy they don't want to repeat numbers casually all the time

I posted a thread with a water:grain calculator in case anyone doing oh, say, a scientific 'pressure cooker efficacy' study with grain jars as the subjects might be interested in the method... https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/27248955 ;

PCing Oats for my very first time right at this moment. Really hope my prep was on point, not looking for 'oatmeal tek' results. Used bod's guide and followed it well, should be decent, I hope. Only doing 4 quarts for a test run.

I compressed and leveled the shit outta my last few tubs. Went pretty heavy on the top layer of coir as well 4 qts instead of 2.
It didn't seem to make a big difference, if at all. Took a little longer to colonize the top but AA+ was 12 days to harvest same as last time I ran them. Maybe the pinset was a little better but can't really say confidently didn't notice much of a change. It was super handy to level the whole thing though gonna continue doing so.
Maybe it's mostly just PE that benefits from the whole compression + level thing but I was curious how a regular tub would do if I really squashed it.

For me the level sub helps when I’m harvesting a canopy with a bread knife. Hate catching a high spot and dirty butts to clean up.
