I have all of the stainless parts required to build a big sterilizer, just haven't got around to doing it yet.
I like what you have going on there

Just let that fucker pop up before you start the 15 min timer and you'll be gtg. It's the last of the two plugs to pop up.

I thnk the implication is that if the valve assists in removing hot air, and if it pops up b4 the ten min mark after first "seeing, hearing, or fealing" steam, then ignore it and finish timing. As Nate and D3 jst pointed out, that part in quotes seems like it may be up for interpretation.
My process is in stone now and it is to wait ten min after the valve pops up to place the weight on. I cant see how shit wouldn't be correct at that point.
I jst modified my tubs with a patten of 1/4" holes on the short sides. Forgot where i saw that. They seem to be better maintaining microclimate now.

First shoebox in maybe 1/2 a year. Struggled really bad with a crazy outbreak and this spawn was only thing that made it, wasn't pretty, just need prints.
This is my cold thing sitting on the basement floor we've had a heat wave but average temperatures have been mid-high 50's. Appears to be knotting but a bit sketchy. Started this 2 weeks ago and left it over field capacity and cold cold cold as I was out of town, once I got back I put right to fruiting and fanned (I never fan).

Iambrownbear said: I probably should have specified that I sterilize supplemented substrate bags. I have never tried to stetilize grain this way. I don't know if the material being sterilized makes a difference or not. Maybe I will throw a few grain bags in on the next run and see how they turn out.
I thought grain would turn to mush in a bubbas barrel or similar DIY set up?
I remember asking about this awhile back and was told to only run substrate in the atmospheric sterilizers.
