yeah I was always under the impression that it was more work to use liners, but after trying them out it seems like way less when you consider harvesting/cleaning a tub

With shoeboxes a grocery bag fits perfectly. It took me a minute to get it down but now I can have one done in like five seconds.

Big tubs I used to cut liners but now I just fold the edges down next to the sub.

Progressively less concerned with perfection.

Cutting liners is annoying as shit, razor blade makes it marginally better but still. I've been dumping sub and spawn into the big lawn and leaf trash bags mixing in the bag and then getting it situated in the tub before cutting but it's a bit wasteful and cutting all that bag is annoying. I'd probably take that over mixing in a pre cut liner though I hate making a mess trying to mix thoroughly in a pre cut liner.

I let a stock pot full of rye and warm water sit on the counter in my kitchen for 48hrs, smelt like bum taint. I pc'd it anyway againts Bod's suggestions. When i knocked the jars up they never did anything. Whatever grew in it left behind one or more toxins preventing any growth. Bod chewed my ass. It was awesome.

Liners piss me off as well, but i'll jst add it to the process and in no time it will be second nature. That's how one forms habits.

I use trash bag liners and just trim with a razor blade. But you guys are really just lifting your sub out by the bag?
I would flood with water but I got like micro pore tubs and holes and shit.. I I get another bin I suppose but then I got to fill it with a bunch of water and deal with that..

I'm not much of a stump guy either..

Maybe I'll have to write a tek... I'm pretty thorough in my process at this point and while not meticulous, I do have some standards. By doing all in lined tub; hydration, fluff, spawn with top layer, I can be more consistent with the recipe. Once it's cooled I spawn and set on the shelf. I can knock a dozen or two out in a day. Speaking of which I need to spawn a few dozen tubs.

Man of culture, my freezer got messy...I first got it set up as a fridge thinking I could go kinda coolish like 50's for woodies, and colder dudes. Thing made my house flip out, old 70's with aluminum wiring.

Yikes. Letting millet sit on a fucked up slider scren on quart jars in the lab shower. Floor's a mess, towel's a mess; got no idea how much didn't get on the screen. Did the best I could.

Got about 5 minutes to go to p9's recommended 20. Towel under screen is a mess.

And all this with a Tropical Storm/Hurricane heading up the coast. :whiteflag:

It'd be a fuckton of $ shot if Elsa takes out the electricity before I finish the PC run...2 hours at 17psi in a Presto 23-qt.

And wow, here comes the wind.

I probably coulda done this calmly on Friday,. :facepalm3:
