I agree with you on that wheat vs oats talk.
I can't get no-prep wheat to come out for shit though. It clumps too much under the waterline and is too dry over. Millet is better for that IME but too expensive suddenly at $45/50lb.
Wheat is great, smells really good and cheap. My local stuff is very dirty with bran or whatnot and needs a good rinse.

It can’t hurt bro. If anything it’s good for these trust me. The surface conditions are never optimal with this species and if anything it will help with overlay and keep the gray fuzz away. I know the pic just looks like it’s dry but there was mold of some kind starting

Let’s just say the tub in my sig had all the overlay smashed down with a paper towel into a solid mat, holes punched into the mat hundreds of times with a fork, and h202 water sprayed on it right before it started to pin. So, it can’t really hurt

If nats are cubes I'm laa-laa from the teletubbies. It only takes growing them once to know.

Yea they're vastly different, even the trip has nothing to do with cubes. Mine overlaid pretty bad and still fruited just fine without punching holes with a fork or using peroxide, you're a madman Adreno!

A Nat trip is different from a cube trip, the same way a pan trip is different from a cube trip.

It was verified as a different species a while back also.
The mycelium is just insane 80% of the time ime. The key seems to be picking the right growth off the plate to work with.
