Yeah that's the problem. I prepped them and wanted to sterilize them today, had to leave
So i filled them into jars and left. Hope to be able to sterilize them when I return.
But I better toss them, don't want to use them and get problems then.
Thanks guys.

Yea I think you will find they end up colonizing slow and go bacterial if you let them sit for 3 days before PC. Fridge is the only option.

Looking for glass that I can see through and a manageable cap. Ideally, big enough to be manageable when taking/depositing myc, but small enough to be an effective slant. Anybody got some recommendations? Bonus points for a matching rack stand that I can use to tilt them in PC. Thanks!

Would 25mm be fine for width? And is there any preference to 200mm over 150mm?

Awesome. Thanks for the confirmation. Just curious, do you leave the cup unscrewed when PCing initially? RR's vid says to screw them, others say no.

Does anyone know a legit system for labeling petris? I need some skillz yo. I mean, I have three pe clones labeled as 1 2 and 3 with a date lol.
I hate fucking ghetto rigging everything, I'm sure there is a methodical and clear system that will help me stay focused.

It depends on what you're doing. I usually rock MS so I just label the variety and which transfer it's on. If you're using isolates or storing long-term, better labeling is probably necessary.
Here's RR's method: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/6835335#6835335

I use variety name, date, MS/clone, generation (or rather, how many transfers I've made, spores or initial clone =0 ), and then I use letters of the alphabet for specific cultures.
Say I make an AA+ clone on 1/1/2017 I would note:
AA+ A clone 0 1/1/17
Then I make a different clone next month:
AA+ B clone 0 1/2/17
Then I start a MS culture the month after and I'm on 3rd transfer:
AA+ C MS 3 1/3/17
It works for me

I label MS as MS. Then T1 for transfer one from multispore. And so on. The small 1 on the bottom of T is from the mother plate 1.

Take transfers from plate 1 and label receiving plates 1a1 1b1 1c1 etc... Plate 2, 2a1 2b1 2c1 etc... Then transfers from those label 1a2 1b2 1c2... That's how I do anyways

These are all great responses, but I like how short pin porns is. I forgot to mention I'm lazy and do at least half a sleeve of petris at a time.
Edit: RR's is pretty simple too. Fuck yeah

It would be cool if they made a mono that was 3 inches shorter but usually the next step down in plastic tub will be too wide and too short. Theres a reason why we use 66 qt sterlites or the equivalents and its because no one has fabricated the perfect height/width mono for cultivating illegal mushrooms. The 66 qt and everything that is to scale from such is the best option for us
I agree and was thinking the same thing. If I made smaller tubs, would the holes provide enough FAE vs the sub? I'd think not having low headspace. I don't mind excess space. I always think the air is the main priority.
