I was trying to save a few bucks and instead of buying parafilm tried sawing the cling wrap in half. Turns out my knives are apparently not so sharp, I gave up. Parafilm it is lmao.
What exactly is the need to parafilm your dishes though? Keep the moisture in/contams out?

Pretty much, I never dug parafilm, I use saran wrap and if I changed I would try the tree grafting wrap. It's bound to be cheaper than parafilm too.

Parafilm allows for gas exchange without letting in contaminants. Unless you don't plan on moving them around at all, you could get away with just storing plates in a ziploc sandwich bag.

It's just weird that it's necessary considering I am coming from pasty plates that never needed any of that sort of thing. Whatever though order has been placed, fuggit.

So wheat will not be available for at least another 4 weeks per local farm and feed stores. I called a few places within a 50 mile radius. They all said the same thing. It looks as though I wouldn't be able to rely on it all year round.
So I have decided to go a different route. I can source rice bran locally because it is used for horses. I figured I can supplement my sawdust bags with the bran. I can also source rgs locally. The rgs is twice the price of wheat and oats but I was going to just use it to grow master jars and use them to inoculate the supplemented sawdust bags. Rgs looks like it would provide a lot more inoculation points than wheat or oats so I should be able to stretch it further. I should be able to get at least 2 dozen bags per quart of spawn or more, right?

I dnt understand why you dnt jst order a bag off amazon. It's pretty clean. Might find one or two split pea in there but not much grain flour/dust less your at the bottom of a bag. Rinse twice and the dust is gone.
Yall boycotting amazon or something?

I can get the rgs for 4 dollars less for 50 lbs. than what you are paying for 25 lbs of the wheat. Shipping costs are a bitch. It was one thing to spend that kind of money growing cubes but if I want to grow gourmet, I need to think more along the lines of running a business. I need to find it in bulk and at the best price possible.

I literally live right down the street from a grain facility. The problem is, they sell it no less than 50 bushels at a time and it does not come bagged. I looked into gravity wagons and storage bins. That is definitely an option when I am able to justify the cost of the equipment needed to transport and store it.

Hey while we're at it... APE crossed with what makes Yeti? What other APE crosses exist now, and what are their (if any) differing cultivation characteristics?

I'll use Bezos's Bitches, but e.g. the exact same 50-lb bag of oats is literally $50 on Amazon and $15 at Tractor Supply. Just sayin'.

Just popping in to say you are all awesome and loved. Donโt waste the time you have to cherish intimate moments with friends and family. I just spend the best time on a low dose, reflecting on my children and how truly blessed I am. I am overwhelmed with feelings of joy and yet itโs so bittersweet because I almost cannot believe how I was entrusted with such beautiful children. I cannot express with words how grateful and moved within my spirit I am right now about this. Hug your kids man. Let them experience your love. There is a realm where no man or angel or any living creature can explain. The mysterious hidden reality connecting us all together. Just because itโs invisible and inexplicable doesnโt mean we canโt tap into it!!! Dig deep. Share your heart. Embrace love. So much love guys. Edit: I know this isnโt the thread for this, but when asked, โwhat is the greatest force on planet earth?โ Some may say, nukes, and some may say war, but I say love Love conquers all Love will prevail
