I'm debating some guy he is telling me "the phenotype of this mushroom when dried is cracked and weird looking.
That's every fucking mushroom, they're dried out... Phenotype means moreso when they're growing right?

Pyrex 500ml media bottles, mine came in a set of 3. Cell treat 100mm with the grip ring. Grip ring being the important part. I started with 60mm but tried 100s and never went back. That's what I use. I have been wanting bigger media bottles though.

Just poured a sleeve of 20 today and took transfers. I prep like 3-6 bottles of agar at a time and pour sleeves as needed. I use and wrap with plastic wrap immediately before labeling strain and date. I use 500ml media bottles, and I recommend paying extra for legit pyrex units. Plates are modestly affordable when bought in cases of 500. I like the 110mm.
For streaks I use like 3 plates with one containing the whole swab end. Take a couple quick transfers from clean vigorous growth and once ya got that uniform culture expand expand expand. 1 master plate has unlimited potential and I used to just discard my old plates after taking samples, so wasteful
I can do without grip rings, but tbh idk if my current plates have em or not. I often order based on size cost and primarily shipping. Free fast shipping with prime is often my go to as horrible as that may be.

That's a solid deal on the Pyrex bottles Prep.
If I may suggest, consider getting plates from Kartersci. $45 for a 500ct of 90x15mm. They're good plates, and you can get bundle those 500ml Pyrex bottles for $9 each.
You'll see the shipping charge is fairly high but if you do the math, it's still the cheapest 500ct of plates that you'll find anywhere.
I've used 1000 or so thus far. No complaints besides the occasional cracked plate here and there.

Like a church choir??
You’ll love pouring plates man. It’s the easiest part of cult imo. 30 seconds and you’ve got 20 plates with way better visibility than no pours.
