I cultivate for the beauty and peace of it. Also gotta handful of friends that dig on it. Two are combat vets that have bad ptsd. These people been eating shrooms since they cud identify them in the hills at 5yrs old and my shit blows them away. Love in, love out.
You shud drop that whole pin in a jar of grain.

If a guy wants to be super strict, he throw out any jar not showing growth after 2-3 days. Killer cultures, healthy and fast, will do this reliably even if you do 100 g2g 1kernel transfers! Why aim for anything less? Redo slow jars, aim for perfection

Writing my first tek after all the bullshit I've come up with during 2020 on how to do grain and a monotub without a pressure cooker, jars or much else really as an alternative to PF Tek and to try and stop people from doing Uncle Bens. It's like conventional cultivation here except not.
I need a better fuckin camera.

Bunk MS is a bummer man.
Had some RW and PESH come out pretty weak.
Have had fairly good success in the potency department otherwise but maybe I should just run PE going forward and learn how to dial that in.
I wish potency was more easily identifiable.
Even cloning can be hit or miss.
I trust I'll find something worthwhile in this TOC that i'm working with now.
I doubt FK would still be running it if it was lacking in potency.

verum subsequentis said: HEC, Nice first post. That thing wants to breathe. Contrary to 1942's opinion, shit likes to breathe. You could come to any conclusion you want on when to apply "fruiting conditions" but I'd give her some air.

starbones said: In my opinion fruiting conditions from spawning is the best method because as said we're dealing with shit like mold which wants warm, stagnant, moist air.
I noticed that employing fruiting at spawn combined with making sure grains are covered has let me reliably get to the third flush. Your mileage may vary. 1/4" or a little more of CVG and misting keeps the grains from dying out and becoming vulnerable in case your conditions are less than dialed. Dry winter was an absolute bastard for that and going back to covering my grains prevented a lot of bullshit when I couldn't reliably keep the surface conditions.
thank you for the help and replies! i gave it some misting and started to let it breathe and i got a bunch of pins overnight! so excited to see this one fruit (:

Speaking of all Americans, does anybody have a suggestion on a good electric portable element or induction/whatever to use with an aa925? My stove in my apartment is wildly inaccurate and needs different temp everything and always fluctuates its impossible to dial in! Any suggestions?

cadco or broilking CSR-3T 1500 watt
or 240v commercial hot plate stove. A real stove 8" burner is 2600 watts.
Orrrr replace the infinite switch on your stove so it works properly. It's about $30.

Does AA+ have a relatively similar spawn to harvest time as most other cubes? Like less than 20 days? Gotta take a trip and don't know if I should spawn some jars or not.

My AA+ dishes and grains have been horrible at fending off bacteria and contams. I've had samples of it for months and still haven't gotten it to fruit

That's terrible to hear. But it's not the strains responsibility to fight bacteria and contams in artificial cultivation, that's yours (to prevent) It's not like any strain is recommended because it is contam resistant.
You probably are working with some bad spores and need to start over from a new source. You can't take mycoparasites out of a culture no matter how much you toy with it IME. Just gotta move on.
