Stupid ass mycelium, why don't you bleed and have X for eyes when you dead?
Or at least turn a little colour from dying? Egotistical to the very end, mushroom mycelium.

Nice. I ordered a 2x4 ffu. Its supposed to ship on Friday. I will hopefully have it early next week. I also bought a work bench from the same company and it should be in tomorrow. I am going to have to leave work early as it is coming in on freight and need to make sure the counter top and shelves aren't broken. Its beginning to feel a lot like christmas. lol

Flowhoods certainly seem like they're becoming more affordable! Anyone have experience moving them around different rooms/ different building if you move? I'd be so worried to damage it  I plan on moving soon butt fuck I want one.

After your bag is 100% colonized, wait an extra week or 2 for the grain to full consolidate and you can spawn them with grain on top no problem. Although if they are contaminating with the grains on top, the issue is much more likely to have gotten there before you spawned than after.

Depends on the size, mine will be a ...... to move. If you get a FFU and its like a 2x2 or even a 2x4, it should be no harder than moving a flat screen.

Waiting for a flowhood too  got two 2x3 FFU's from China for less than $1000 shipped to my door. Literally couldn't believe my ears when I heard that ship got stuck in the Suez recently lol. My motivation to do work in the SAB is dwindling by the day...

I thought most people spawned right at 100%? Not wait another week or 2 before spawning?! I'm getting impatient l0l!

I like to wait till a little after full colonization to spawn. Maybe 4 or 5 days.

2x3 to your door for less that a grand!...:strokebeard:
Im having a time working in my SAB on top of a closet door on top of my nightstands. It's level but not high enough. Gotta kneel all weird working in it.

Was out picking more morels and happened upon this crazy fungi

Thought it was cool.

Honestly the only issue I had with spawning with exposed grains is during the harvest. They tend to stick to the mushrooms even when you electric knife them. It is way easier to cover them in a thin layer of coir.

If you are getting exposed grains turning green it is your spawn and not your sub.

That thing is insane.

I wonder if it spreads spores by tricking things into thinking they’re eating hummingbird eggs or something.

I just looked those up, if you happen to see more and would be down to clone one or send me a sample I’d love it.

When raindrops hit them it triggers an ejection of the egg things up to a meter. And some have strings attached so if it hits a branch it wraps around it.

I love nature man. This seems like something they’d do a segment on in planet earth.

Yeah I know its the grain, I was running the PC without venting for 10 minutes. Doing the proper PC sterilization now and also did a few blank agar/grain tests to see how my techniques are in the SAB.. Going to be upgrading to a flow hood next week hopefully.

Preliminary tryptamine potency analysis from dried, homogenized fruit bodies of Psilocybe mushrooms
It appears to analyze the potency of different cubensis varieties... I doubt they isued isolates though.

But still the data looks quite interesting!
