How big is your blower? Is it a furnace blower? If you are looking for a big filter, you'd want your furnace blower to be about 1/3-1/2hp and 1000+rpm. My filter is a little over 2'x2' and my blower is 1/2hp and I run it on it's 2nd to lowest speed (it has 4 speeds)and had to block off a portion of it's intake to achieve 60-90 degree bend for the flame test.
Furnace blowers are usually pretty big and they'll get the job done just have to dial it down.
Your filter needs to be at least 99.99% efficient down to .3 microns and have 1" of static pressure. Those are the only details that matter

Man I need to get on some shit.
Only have 6 jars with SFD lids. Any of you got any extra SFD lids to spare for cheap? Don't have a lot of income, really need some more lids though.

why it works just as well as SFDs and is cheaper and easier to replace. SFDs look cooler that's about it.

and you don't have to prepare the lids. I replaced them each run and it was tedious. None of this "work" is really that bad though come to think of it, but now I have one less major step.

right on. The pc will cure it anyway. I'm gonna do the same shit tomorrow to these:
(edit: add sfd's and dry the silicone during the pc cycle)

Now when I want to make a lid I just take em outta the box. It's pretty easy. I have yet to have a contam I could blame on the lid. Just handle em smart.

I started using SFDs on my lids recently.
Don't your SFD's get all soaking wet during the PC cycle? isn't that a concern that it could allow contams to migrate into the jar? How big are the holes you guys drill for SFDs?
I've been melting a big hole into my plastic storage lids and then sticking a SFD to both sides of the melted hole. This prevents moisture from wicking into the jar because two two layers of SFD don't touch each other.
Check it out:

I took this photo to show you how large the hole in the lid is.

It's not a problem. They get wet but it's hot water and most of it evaporates immediately, the rest dries in a day or two. I do a 1/4" hole

Sweet well I'm thinking my holes are around 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch which if you do the math should be much larger surface area than 1/4 inch holes so negates the reduction in GE from having two layers.
I'm just making sure my paranoid double layered SFD design isn't reducing GE to the point that it is causing more problems than it solves
