Presto 09985 Pressure Canner Sealing Ring.
Just ordered one on Amazon, Presto website sells them too but probably takes longer.

Thank you lenz, just ordered one too. Hopefully it'll get here before Thursday. I got 9 quarts chilling in that fucker right now. I seen ACE hardware had one for like $12 with $32 shipping. WTF
Nevermind, just got the email. It'll be here tomorrow. Thanks again my friend.

I've left mine on overnight a handful of times when I pour plates but otherwise don't see the benefit in letting it run nonstop.

Many professional labs let their hoods run 24/7 because it stays dust free that way. But they are using them a lot more often than we are, and replacing filters every year or two after thorough testing

Way too loud to have on all the time. Plus I think most people aren’t using it nearly enough to justify that. It would be nice though I’m sure it keeps the air super nice in the room.

I just had to order one on the zon too.. came in 2 days. There’s nothing worse than prepping grain and jars and have everything in the pc only to pull on the gasket to stretch it and it snap. Sucked

I do if I'm not slackin. Plates, jars, and bags on rotation. Got 10 jars to unload, 8 bags to load and then maybe another 10 jars for the day. Thats all for cubes. My oyster plates are just begging for grain.
It is noisy, but it's in an enclosed room scrubbing the air and it smells soo good it's worth every penny Not too warm though.

If unmod works with plastic lids would not the same hold true with a loosened one-piece metal lid? Running a few hundred jars so the pricetag of the plastic lids is daunting. Can find these cheaper by a large margin.

When I used to run prestos, I would always keep a few extra on hand.

I sometimes leave my filter on for a week or two if I have unfinished business in the lab or if I see anything coming up in the next days. The key is to use good quality pre-filters and change them regularly. I am also using an air filter (small units with de-ioniser and HEPA) when I am not using the flowhood so the room stays clean and free of dust. This way you could literally use the flowhood filter forever.

About to start working with them pricey plastic fuckers. Got mine from a myco supply site. 36 for like 50bux. They were individually wrapped. Hope them are decent. Walmart ones looked mega shitty. A few hundred...good god damn son!..
I'd be interested to knw your findings on these lids. Although i thnk i'll keep my jar limit to 36 total and start into bags for all these gourmets 'n shit imma be doing.

The zon is going to wonder why there is such a sudden rush on them (presto seal rings). I just ordered a couple. Noticed mine leaking a little on warm up and cool down. It was holding at pressure, though.
Also zon related: I hate that when I looked a different size Sterilite gasket tub my "Frequently bought together" suggestions are Uncle Ben's rice and Gypsum.

Edited for clarity.

BrownBear - Pic of the day you posted wild oyster and some other edibles. Im frothing at the stash here bud.
There's a tent at Saturday market with all kinda shrooms imma try and clone from as well as a few health food stores that carry all kinda odd shite.
What can be fruited in tubs and what must be fruited from bags? I saw that tub of pink oysters and had to wipe off the inside of my leg.

Thanks. I just started getting into the gourmet scene. My plan is to fruit from bags in a 4x8 grow tent. I'm not sure what all can be grown in tubs. It would be interesting to see some experiments with that though.

Hint on the prestos: There are like a dozen models, there are different gaskets. Look up your model on the presto site to confirm the right gasket for your presto 23. I own 5 of them. I keep backups for them.

Question:
I had some questionable wheat spawn. Looked a little thick and milkshaky. But I tubbed it anyway. After 8 days, the coir top layer started to green tam out.
Can the bad spawn infect the coir out ahead of the mycelia, fucking up the uncolonized coir?
