yeah, I wouldn't worry if only the plates don't pin ... I made three monotubs out of rye spawn inoculated with different generations of these plates and none of them gave me any fruit or even knotting and this after 6 weeks and more

Talking of genetics, how many "generations" of agar to agar transfers (made selectively from the fastest growing area of the plates) can I make before I cause senescence? Is this even a concern? My understanding of senescence is crude at best.

My agar is pretty firm too. My point is that I was still able to grow mushrooms
edit: I take that back, I recently had a ksss plate blob up on me, but I'm not even 100% sure that wasn't a contam.

Any reasoning to this? I am fruiting TXOC (limited MS) for the first time and it's doing so great. Plates also pinned faster and stronger than any other variety I've tried.

I believe my AA+ was from Eat at one point as well and it performes amazingly. Whats his story? I know he's a TC but what is it about a variety that comes from Eat makes it better?

I'm not clearly sure, so I want to ask here.
I am active in a german board, partly for growing mushrooms - This board is currently at around 2005, if we look at their knowledge of shrooms and how to cultivate them.
Now I am working on different tutorials, based on everything I have learned at Shroomery( ). Is it okay to publish tutorials, based on Shroomery-tutorials/information ? Normally I would say no problem, but I wanna ask..

Actually that AA+ came from Tagyo, but I don't know where he got it. Possibly eat but I'm not sure. Whatever happened to Tagyo?

Imho eat is the stand alone best cube grower posting here. He simply knows what he's doing.

Weird, why did I think you told me Eatyualive Lol did I just pull that out of thin air?
And if he's the best cube grower how does that explain the quality of the lineage in any way? Just trying to wrap my head around the TOC mystery, not trying to be a dick

I think both stro and toc both defy the old 'cube is a cube' saying. they both grow the same from spores and are unique enough in their own respects. compare eat's grows with my grows.
stro eat me
toc eat me

as long as this blower https://www.grainger.com/product/DAYTON-3-4HP-115V-Double-Inlet-Forward-1XJY2?s_pp=false&picUrl=//static.grainger.com/rp/s/is/image/Grainger/1XJY2_AS01?$smthumb$ is sufficient.
Having trouble figuring out how much power the blower needs for this large of a filter and if the filter will deliver laminar flow when around 1.2" of pressure.
Do I need the specs for the filter to be sure they will work together or with the info I have provided would they be a good match?
I built mine with the aac astrocel or whatever its 24x24x11.5 and everyone said it wouldnt work and its been almost a year with no issues besides my sterile technique haha... i talked to an engineer for the filter and he said basically as long as your blower pushes enough air and plenum is big enough you can make whatever laminar flow ypu need ... my blower was a furnace blower i used a plastic tub and just cut the hole bigger on top till the lighter test was perfect ... as you can see the blower is huge i made my plenum about 12.5" and works fine the engineer said the static pressure is whats built up behind the filter before it pushes out... but since i didnt have the specs of the blower and only specs of my filter i just built it and tested it so my advice would be get the specs of the filter and match it you can pm me if you need to man

Isn't aa+ a strain form mr g that just mutation. Eat is king at speed no doubts in my mind if a massive contest of growing the most shrooms in a year the winner is immune form the law and their own private estate. Eats would kill it.

I appreciate that a lot
Though I'm still not sure how to know if my blower (that I already have) is going to be good enough for a large filter such as a 3'x3' or even 3'x4' because I don't have the specs for the filter.
I feel like I've asked this on the forum before but never got a definitive answer or I just didn't fully understand the concept.
Maybe I can get the specs for the filter from the selling company to clarify if my blower is powerful enough?
My blower is pretty big I think I payed almost 600 for it and that was the cheapest I could find it.
Would hate to have to buy another blower even more expensive than that.
Anyway, I think I've answered my own question (with Boogie's help) as I really won't know without the specs to the filter but was just thinking someone may have experience with a similar size filter.
Or would the equation; Surface Area of the Filter x 100fpm = the cfm that the blower needs to push at 1.2" pressure?
Can I be sure that the filter will have adequate laminar flow if I don't have the filter specs?
