I really like room temp soaking prep of my millet. But I'm almost positive the 12 hours I'm doing is leaving them too dry for my noc'ing with agar. At what point is sprouting the seeds a problem? I'd like to test 12hrs vs 24hrs vs 48hrs.

When i used to do millet it was a 24 hr soak in hot tap water, strain, and load. They werent fully hydrated from the soak but the excess water got absorbed in the pc run

Did people ever solve spawning oysters to tubs? I'm looking for a solution that deals with FAE for them, while still using a tub/sgfc setup.

If you PC long enough to kill the seed you shouldn't have issues with sprouting.

I was more worried about it all turning to mush. People had warned about sprouting after soaking 24hrs with millet. So I was hunting down why they were warning about it.

I'm loving the easy prep. And its shaving a few days off the colonizing of the coir because of being numerous and tiny. But my leapoff from agar is slow. But I'm new to it. I think I can get it better with hydrating better and maybe millet flavored agar.

Millet is good for master jars cuz thereβs so many and you can almost drown them in lc and they donβt seem to mind.

too much humidity and low free air exchange.

when i was looking into growing edibles i saw that people recommended king oysters for monotub style grows, idk if that's still the case but it seems like the best bet as far as i am aware

I have a fully colonized z strain filter bag with substrate mix of the pastypod tek recipe (straw, whole wheat flour, coffee, verm) it's been like this for at least a week.
I don't think it's going to fruit. I probably didn't chop the straw all short enough but it is completely colonized. (noccd via pf slurry pour) Should I break it up and spawn it to tub with coir? .....maaaaybe coir and hpoo? I know people with horses, man, i can get that shit, I'm ready

Happy St. Patrick's day to ask of you as well. Slow cooker liners are perfect for 16 qt boxes. Just thought I'd put that out there. If you make your sub super thick, use oven pan liners.

I tried this on straight Coir. I got fruits but the humidity management was so bad they dried out and I threw them out back.
I still think bags with Masters Mix is a better option.

No man I think your good just like it is. Z-strain have taken a little longer for me, but they definatly produce some of the meatiest fatter fruits I have grown.

Got my first significant fruits! What do you all do if thereβs some good size pins going after you harvest like 70 or so percent of them out of a tub? Pull them and soak or just let the fruits go and soak after? Seems like thereβs a lot of controversy over this in older threads?
