I boil my rye immediately after rinsing and then soak it for a couple hours. Heat back up so they can steam dry and im good to go.

I never shake my WBS jars while hot, keep them out of the boiling water and they wont clump unless your moisture content is too high ime

How long do you boil for?

If oats are anything like prepping wheat then try straining as soon as your pot reaches a boil.
The 24hr soak is all you need to hydrate and the heat just helps with evaporation. For wheat and rye at least.
May be worth a shot?

Yeah probably told noob to do eats tek cause that is the way to go with oats. Prep takes me 45 mins start to finish before I load the jars. I have it dialed in to under 3 hours total with 100 minute pressure cooker time. When I run 2 hours it's a little more than 3 hours

Is this sufficient for a flowhood if I have a good enough blower? http://www.airexco.net/hepa-filters-c-133_180_176/36x36x6-hepa-9997-p-1775.html I can't find the specs or ratings for it so I'm not sure.

i think i wanna call the surface of a substrate a 'pitch' like a soccer field.
or a football pitch for the rest of the world. that way we can be like
'do you guys think my pitch needs a mist?'
could be cool!! or im really stoned.

Guys, I need your help with a nooby nooby noob question.
I am working on three master-jars now for g2g.
Do I need to sterilize the spoon like a scalpel vor agar (if its possible) ? For the master-jar, its fine because its full-colonized but for the new one?

You shake the jar to break up the grains and then pour the colonized grains into the receiving jars. This must be done in an SAB or in front of a flowhood.
