Do you let you SAB settle for a while after setting it up? And limit the time _anything_ is over the plates?

My first SAB had arm holes that I barely could fit through lol, I thought that would be safest. Science clearly isn't my thing. They are now around 6"
Crack, I'm going to film my next agar and grain work. I obviously don't expect anyone to watch the whole thing but I will post it and highlight times where I do certain things e.g. transfer to jar and feedback would be amazing. I'll add it as a journal and post a link in here to ask anyone that has a couple of minutes to review. I know it's a given on shroomery but I'll be looking for brutally honest feedback, far easier to learn from negatives than positives.

Go for it, I know I'll watch. I'm sure you'll get good feedback.

Clockwork, I was actually thinking of doing the same for my next session for my LAGM log. Not necessarily for critiques, but just to spice up the log a bit. I'll check your out just for the fun of it. Not sure I am the one to give critiques but I could learn from it.
(not to imply you asked for my advice, it just made me think of this )

Shameless repost When I made a video of working in the SAB, I learned a lot! Peeps spotted stuff I never would have thought of.
Haha, just watched it again and it was p9 who caught me scooching down the scalpel!

I'm going to check it out inthepit. I've watched and read so much but I'm one of those people that learn from doing things, like I can read how to identify a hydrated grain a million times but until I see and feel it, it doesn't sink in
In the meantime I'm keeping it real for my level, I PC'd 15 brf cakes earlier and have a brick of coir in a drinks cooler pasteurizing ready for my bacterial shoeboxes to be spawned tomorrow.

Based on what I've seen in your LAGM log and everything else you are clearly echelons above me in terms of experience and your advice would be very much welcome! In fact everyone's advice is 100% welcome. Beggars can't be choosers
When I first saw you were doing cakes in a chamber I thought you might be starting out too then I noticed how you spoke about things then I saw your LAGM and it all made sense.

JMF MSS I believe is looking nice

WNG tub certainly contaminated. Not fully colonized, was spawned 1/18, wondering if I should just toss it now.

Guess it's time for me to get my culture clean again and start some more jars after about a month break. Feels good.

Clock, alot of beginners go too wet, which is worse than too dry in many cases. Grains ideally should be pretty dry on the outside, wet on the inside
I've been through this, and feel like I benefitted from being told to avoid moisture excess and "go a lil dry" compared to always fighting for perfect or "enough" water.
Ended up doing corn which is easy to prep dry on the outside and wet inside. It's also easy to physically see
If water is pooling at the bottom, too wet If grains are shiny watery pressing along the glass, too wet
But the mission of course is to get it perfect for that great first flush, but but you are struggling with bacterial jars, I'd wager that you're consistently prepping too wet.
It's okay to dry the exterior of grains in any way, before PC, as long as you got the water off the surface
One time this ass left 5kg of wet rye on a towel on my floor, was a pain but. Jars ended up great

So, I have neglected my growing for months, besides prints I only have one agar plate left, which is a clone sample, that has been resussitated twice from doing transfer from dying agar plates (I am a cruel god about to give them New Eden).
So, my last plate has a contam but it seems well contained so im going to try to clean it out.

Blue is growth from the clone sample, Red is where contams are, not sure which one, light blue is from the same plate the clone came from but from another sector (the pin is from the plate, deep blue inside of it).
I have a bunch of plates, so Pink is going to be the sectors I will be transferring from, away from the contam. Look about right?
But, the reason I am posting this is about the pink sector in the middle, the mycelial bridge.
A- I have never seen cubensis mycelium overpower a contam like this, the bacteria in the middle is loosing its ground. Could this be a more contam resistant strain after surviving almost 3 nutrition and water starvations?
B- This pink bridge sector looks a lot like the thing you want to transfer when doing snake venom hybridization. Is it possible that the contam has done the same thing? Or since it comnes fro

Also, is there anyway to get these Indian Autoclaves working in North America properly? Yeah there are transformers, but for an autoclave?
They are 1/4 of an AA. Probs for a reason.

Is it ok to Lysol bomb a room full of tubs? Can it impact colonising or fruiting tubs negatively?

If the tubs are sealed well, and already consolidated, I think so?

Yeah all sealed, I'm sure it's ok and standard practice. About to use the room to inoculate some brf jars and after some recent questionable results with grain want to be super clean in there.
