Does anyone leave their AC on while running their flowhood?
I'm thinking of creating a small "room" around the flowhood using 6 mil plastic.
I live in a cold climate and my home loses heat rapidly so turning the air off for a few hours every couple of days isn't ideal.

Does these look too dry? They seem to have stalled.

Shook them earlier today

Unfortunately those are pretty bacterial. They also look quite wet, definitely not dry.

Thanks alot, what's the clear sign they are bacterial? I'll give them a sniff when I chuck them to add to my smell detector.

Check your pm.
But to answer your question: very thick, white/creamy mycelium with overly wet grains and lot's of internal condensation. With stalled growth.

I have 12 empty shoeboxes and loads of coir with nothing in the imminent pipeline, is it worth spawning them to learn from what happens or does it look like bacteria that could cause issues I don't want occuring in the "lab"?

If your jars are already stalling it won't perform well enough to be worth the effort. You won't get anything from it but trich.

Cool thanks, I might spawn 1 and isolate it somewhere just so I can watch trich grow as I never have but will chuck the others.

I am curious as to what gives away that they are bacterial? Is it the lack of rhizomorphic growth and the way the mycelium looks "smooth"? and the fact that they stalled. It depends how long they have been stuck like that I guess. Ill have jars stall a little when I think something is wrong and then it catches up after a couple days.

LC seems to be a waste of time. In the past I got some honry/water jars to grow well and I used that with syringes with success. but lately I got into doing agar and G2G and that is also working. I tried making more LC jars and im not getting a lot of growth that fills the entire jar or I get a bunch of debris and crap in the jar a day or two later after I put a bit of agar in.

I believe you can buy replacement gauges for prestos. Should be easy enough to drill a hole to install it.
Edit: sorry, didn't realize I was a page behind. Quote added for clarification.

I'm watching. I'm curious as to what will happen. It would be a good idea to put some common bacteria and mold into their own syringe and see if it survives. If it doesn't and the spores germ, looks like you found out how to get clean spores. Would be a game changer for people that don't wanna start agar.
