Quick question regarding gourmets does any agar media work?

Yea, pretty much. What were you thinking of?
Gourmet mushrooms usually have really strong cultures because they've been worked on for ages and the mycelium just rips through anything really quickly.

I got some kings, blue, gold, 3782, lion's mane, torq, reishi, And morels (I know the morels will need extra special care)
But everything else would be good on basic LME eh?

Yea, those will all do. Also grain soak water, PDA, BRFA and many other agar media.

It'd be sweet if it worked like that though, if you could regain potency.

I'm curious if the same science behind increasing bioavailability in cannabis edibles can be applied to our use in mushroom consumption? Specifically, would incorporating lecithin and possibly coconut oil benefit the absorption of psilocybin/psilocin? I've read that lecithin works for THC because it is hydrophobic and lipid soluble. Psilocin/cybin is also lipid soluble (to my knowledge) but not hydrophobic.

Psilocin and psilocybin are water soluble they absorb very well. Make tea you'll be high in 5-10 minutes

Yep, I definitely know that. In fact I stated that in my post.. "Not hydrophobic." And that wasn't my question. Tea is my preferred method all day. But my buddies love chocolates. Just curious on the science. Will lecithin increase absorption of these chemicals thereby increasing oral bioavailability?

No you can't emulsify them because they're already water soluble

Whattt? I'm not talking about using it to emulsify. Lecithin works to make chemicals that aren't readily absorbed naturally more bioavailable by containing essentially little lipid balls that can bind to and hide a chemical like THC much like a Trojan horse and help them get absorbed into our receptors. Thereby we can make our bodies more efficient in absorbing the max amount of chemicals from the edible. Would these lipds not bind with psilocybin in much the same way allowing more efficient absorption? Thereby making a normal dose more potent due to better absorption.

You can't help them absorb they already absorb as well as possible as is they're water soluble. Fats oils lipids need an emulsifier to be better absorbed. If anything lecithin will make the actives attach to fats and slow absorption. Drink some orange juice if you want to help absorption

How do you all use your grain soak. Does it need to be boiled down and reduced. I can't find the post, but I also saw someone mention that they make ice cubes out of it for storage. I have a lot of grain I'm processing and would like to preserve it for use at a later date.

Here ya go man. I use this recipe with rye grain water and my culture fucking loves it.

Lol maybe have more electrolytes? Gatorade tea anyone? XD That should theoretically make you absorb more from water.
I store my grain water in giant pales in the freezer, or just outside during the winter. I pull it out the night before, and use it the next day in agar. Diluted 1:1 with water and then 2g of agar per 100 mL of it.q
