Shit I’m full of clay out here so it holds water fantastic, more than I’d like sometimes as my tractor is sunk to the frame right now! The millet will be for the ducks and the other 1-2 acres I’ll be doing year round food plot for the deer. It’s quite the blessing being on my own piece of the dirt!

My first attempt at oysters I grew what we call "Spider's Legs" Which is just me smothering the oysters because I'm paranoid about bacteria and airborne contaminates. had them locked up in a tub not getting enough air. I'm trying again though, this time will I will attempt to be less fearful.

I’ve never tried pipe tobacco, isn’t it much stronger than cigarettes??
I hate the smell of cigarettes but I’ve always loved the smell of pipe tobacco ever since I was a kid. I hate the lingering smell from cigarettes though. I played cards professionally for a long time and kept a separate wardrobe of “casino clothes”.
Crazy how you get used to it too. I won’t notice anything and then I’d go visit my parents and they’d be like god damn you stink like smoke.
For wbs I usually soak for 15ish hours but the fastest way is no prep for sure. It takes a little dialing in based on the brand and seed mix but I generally scoop out two half pints of wbs and 80% of a half pint of water.
Do you guys wear masks while using the flowhood? I’m assuming not since I spent my first couple sessions maskless and singing along loud as shit the whole time before I suddenly had the horrifying realization that I might’ve ruined a ton of work. No problems though.
I’m usually hip hop, reggae or punk type stuff. Op ivy, sublime, toots and they maytals. I’ll get down hard on some clipse. Lord willin’ is the shit.
I get into some goofy shit with podcasts. Mortified, earhustle and Sasquatch chronicles baby

With the guests that he's more friendly with, he'll obviously slack on the professionalism, but for brand new guests, you can tell he tries to be engaging without taking over, asks pertinent questions and not just typical boring questions. You're definitely right, the die hard fans kinda kill it. About the guests scratching the surface, there's only so much they can cram into 2-3 hours, the guests obviously want to keep it fairly digestible.

No less than 10 mins ago I was doing SAB work and suddenly realized I was whistling along with the song. Wearing a mask of course but still kicking myself for it.

Yeah now that I’ve used a hood it sorts feels like if you had to cross some big cliffs a SAB is like using a tightrope and the hood is like having the Golden Gate Bridge.
I do a lot of relaxing now while the SAB was dead serious concentration and precision the whole time.

So I just got home after work and realized I had left my hood on for about 6-7 hours and the room got warm as fuck. Like it was 70 before I left and the thermometer said 79 when I walked in to check on things. Is that normal?? The flowhood was pretty warm not really hot to the touch but noticeably warm.

It's probs fine. Blower motors can often get in the 150f under full operation and your hood is just blowing that hot air everywhere.
I've heard people say to run them 24/7 but I dont know how valid that is

Those were my sentiments exactly back when I got one lol
I am thankful for my SAB days because they got me started, but now I look at it and cringe.

Never heard the 24/7 thing... plus, (no offense) but some builds ive seen are kinda sketch... I wouldn't trust that wiring for 5 minutes... let alone 24 hours a day... lol

If it shit's out I'll at least have a measurement of how long the gear lasts. Fans should last years.

Just be sure to keep ur prefilter clean/replace your prefilter often. I ran my hood for like 6 or 7 months last year.
Edit: also note i was using a used ffu and not a diy.

Good to hear from some of your first hand accounts. I was worried about that hot air blowing thought it could be serious but I figured it was just going hard since it had been on.
I figure if you have a big enough room it wouldn't hurt to leave it on but the room I use doesn't have the AC going to the room, plus its a tiny ass room, so no wonder it got hot in there.
I thought about building one but said fuckit because I don't have the know-how, nor the tools to accomplish that. Myer's 2x4 is perfect for me. No way I could have built one that quality.
