Those whitish things like mildew that you talk about and that I see sometimes in my 5kg blocks are the reason I always hydrate the coir with boilling water, just to be safe. I also often find all sorts of things in the blocks (organic and non-organic) for me to be comfortable hydrating it with other than boilling water, would hate it if my tubs went green just because I didn't use boilling water. Coir usually has poor quality controls to be trusted.

You prob dont have access over the pond but for the US guys I highly recommend the Char Coir. It is a lose Bagged product & a little pricey at 20 usd per 50 L bag. Every pallet is shipped lab tested showing a zero bacteria & mold spore count. It is perfectly ph balanced & the cal mag is buffered & wont be a cal sink & lock out. I have been bringing to field capacity with cold water & getting fucking monsters. By far the best quality coir I have ever seen.

Dammmmmit.. I can get 1 for 107 out the door 20 min down the road at the hardware store. Wonder what it would cost to ship to you & if any tariff/tax would be tacked on... 250 is like march 2020 covid price gouging status.
I got 4 of them & a small AA
Prob dont have 250 combined invested in all 5.

My presto 23 cost me $141 including all taxes etc. to get to the UK earlier this year, ebay.
Just saw someone is selling UK stock for £330 on eBay right now. Wow

We should start a European cult supply business. I wonder what it would cost to get like 100 prestos shipped over there.
It’s so weird to me that PCs and mason jars are basically non existent outside the us.
Do you guys have instant pots? It seems like you could mod one pretty easily since it’s just an automated pc basically.

I use kilner for jars, a UK version of mason or ball. Not very cheap tho. Advertising as pickling jars normally.
Instant pots, not sure, we have a slow cookers which I've yet to test the holding temp of but most food has to be held at pasturising temps so I assume it would do a similar job.
But ya somewhere that sold pc's and ffu's and other myco bits would be sick.

That's a big one for sure.
Time ago I made a long-winded post where I explained how I was able to get my AA 941, but I'm noticing it is no longer possible because I haven't been able to find 941's on eBay that will ship here anymore. I got mine for very cheap at the time considering how heavy that thing is, under 350 euros shipped iirc. Worth every cent.

I thought about getting a smaller one but i knew I'd need to replace it. My 23L is my baby and is worth it's weight in gold imo. At what I paid I think it's €200.
Although it not like I'll get to try anything else without a hefty investment.
Have you tried both presto and AA Josex?

I imagine it's limited to what can be shared here but I'm so curious as to what people with multiple PCs and all these wholesale type setups are doing with their produce. What kind of monthly yields do you guys produce?
With a couple of tubs a pc and some jars you can grow enough to feed alot of people for a long time.
Is it typically gourmet sellers?
