next up: looking for a thread or set of threads that compares growth rates in unmodded plastic lids to modded ones? can't help but feel like my unmodded lids are like 10% slower or something but I haven't done side by side yet.

What's the etiquette on variety naming if you isolate and stabilize a unique phenotype from parent lineage?
Or a cross, once stabilized.

Progress report: I dunked 'n rolled the cakes tonight after setting up my SGFC.
Here are some pics:

Questions: does this look adequate? What temperature does the fruiting chamber have to be at?

Are you comfortable existing in the room? If so they are fine. Are there holes on the bottom of your SGFC? There need be.

Iβm not trying to be a dock, but there is a getting started section and a search function that houses many questions asked by many people to have been answered many times. If you take the time to find the answer, youβre more likely to retain the knowledge acquired.

Give them a day for the mycelium to grab hold of the verm from the roll. Donβt mist directly. Mist the walls of the fruiting chamber to help with humidity.

MLPismyOPSEC said: Possible, and after doing a little googling, maybe that is the case. I use 3 quarts water, i line up the meniscus of water just below the stamped mark in the bottom. I do have one layer of jar rings under the bottom trivet. Six 4 lb bags. Two quarters siliconed to the rocker so it doesn't vent until ~17 PSI. I try my best to keep it just under so i lose minimal water.
Dying to get a 75x or two but i cannot justify them yet, plus last i heard they are backordered for MONTHS!
I used to do four 5+ pound bags, and had a significant amount of space under the trivet for a water reservoir, 3 layers of jar rings at first, then 4, and when I got sick of rusty jar rings I went with the little 8oz wide mouth mason jars laying on their sides. I think it's dope if you can get six 4 pounders in yours, but that might contribute to your issue of spewing water since you have to put your trivet so far down, and there is not much space for the water to go once heated and in a state of movement with it packed so tight and so deep at the same time.
I still use my prestos for small stuff and agar (with the quarters siliconed to the rocker ), but yeah the 75x is a game changer. If you ever plan to go big enough on a regular enough basis to justify it even a little bit you will thank yourself. It will change your life.

A pheno from a parent i like to see tbe name kept like for example thete was they the ksss peyote, just an awesome pheno from ksss, as for crosses well you really should have creative freedome but most try to tie the names in the best they can like true albino teacher or rustywhyte. Some think melmak is bad etiquette because its simply somebodys pe line , homestead went under and somebody nabbed up some pe and named it melmak. Fact is we are working with domunant and recessive genetics unlike the gourmet worl where its true isolated strains , if ever it becomes legal ypu can clone something and call it fucktrump cubensis and nobody can say youre wrong

Thanks for the kind words fellas i may be in my 30's but i'm a fuckin little kid at heart. I love stickers, i honestly get geeked when companies include them with their products or when people include them in trades. Kingofthejuice sent me this one, i need to hit him up for another for the flowhood!

That's gotta be it then. When i put the first two bags in, the water level does come up to basically the height of the bags. So they probably inflate, pushing water all the way up and out. Just weird that it happens so late in the run and not on cooldown. It's always 1.5-2 hrs in and for about 15-20 minutes.

More often than not. Generally if your spawn is clean you can spawn it to coir in a trich bomb infested crap hole & get a flush.. I mean wash your tub, hands & bucket & try not to pick your back side mid spawn & ya should be pretty good. Even with clean spawn if I do lets say a 50 bag run i get a bag or 2 that goes green on me prior to 1st flush. I spawn out doors & my enviorment if far less than Ideal & my hygiene could prob be a little better to tighten those losses up some.

Alright cool. That's what I thought. There's almost definitely trich floating around in my room but I doubt it's the source of my problems. Been having a run of trich in my tubs, often appearing a few days after pins or right after the first flush at the latest. Starting to drive me crazy but I guess I'm slipping up somewhere along the way.

What coco are you using. I generally hydrate quality coir with only hot water from my hot water heater. I had a batch last year that I actually had to use boiling water on to kill off the crud. It was cherp azz bulk no lable 5 kg hydro store stuff full of leaves dirt & rocks but the price was right at 3 bucks a block. Ran it awhile but finally threw the last few in the garden as it was not worth the trouble.

I just bought some of the small block stuff from el pet store. It was a triple pack and when I opened it there are like mildew spots or something similar that was whitish. I will use half boiling half tap hot water to hydrate I guess. Gonna go to the hydro store Monday. Never trying the pet stores ever again.
