Watertub Tek for the brf jars, these are straight from an ms syringe so expectations aren't high. I have 4th gen transfers germinating at the moment on agar that I'll spawn to bulk when ready. I'll probably a2g a few jars and then g2g whichever looks best to get 7/8 qts for a 54qt monotub.

Faht you're referring to the 8qt bag, which is about 60% smaller than that 2 cu ft bag I posted, hence the price difference. I've been buying that $5 8qt one for awhile.
I'll look into that starbones. I always buy coir from hydro shops, can't say I recall seeing verm at any of them around me.
I'm going to go with your recommendation Quadryder, that's the best deal I can find right now. Thank you.
Ah gotcha.. my bad. This is the best I found https://www.uline.com/Product/Detail/S-15280S/Vermiculite/Vermiculite-Skid-Lot-Grade-1-4-Cu-Ft-Bag?pricode=WB0481&gadtype=pla&id=S-15280S&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIs_PLwOCR7gIV0hx9Ch0u3QqVEAQYFCABEgIfbfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Thanks very much. First grow so I'm sure something will go wrong but I've read up for the best part of the year and asked you guys 6 million questions so I'm in as good a position as I can be considering I've never grown anything or worked in lab conditions

Anyone have experience with LED strip/rope lights like these: https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/flexible-led-strip-lights/5m-white-led-strip-light-highlight-series-tape-light-1224v-ip67-waterproof/5602/#tab/overview
These are (supposedly) higher quality LEDs, not run-of-the-mill, so I'd hope the spectrum claims are accurate. I understand that traditionally, LEDs are not recommended and instead fluorescents are, but I'm under the impression that LEDs have come a long way in the last decade and these lights look pretty legit. I'd like strip/rope lighting so I can run a strip under each shelf, rather than side mounting fluorescents, along with a lower electric bill.

I, and many others around here that I've seen, use these for my tubs and jars

Awesome, LEDs it is then. Why'd you go with the tube lights over a strip?

The only thing to keep in mind aboit the t5 led tub fixtures is that they do not connect to other brands. The Barrina seem nicer than the alternativexl, but the both function identically. I like the Barrina 12pk.

S0o0o i went to put a few drips of This super old LC onto a few dishes the other day. I didn't realize the syringe was clogged and when I went to plunge there was an explosion of LC all over the face of my flowhood.
Im kinda freaking out now because the 6 dishes with the lc are covered in bacteria. My hood has to be covered in bacteria...
This is such bad timing.I have so much work to do and i'm afraid everything will contaminate working in front of that hood. Im about to buy a whole new filter. Its two days later. I am about to open up some test dishes and leave them there. Should I spray the face of my filter with 70 or 90% Iso? I remember reading never spray it with anything.

Verum says he sprays his filter face gently if the hood doesn't have time to run before, if he says it's ok it probably is, not that I'd soak it.
-------------------- But if you're in a hurry, and really got to go If you're in a hurry, might have to find out slow That it's one thing to try and another to fly You get there quicker just a step at a time It's one thing to bark, another to bite The show ain't over till you pack up at night

Ya but then theres still the issue of a nutrient broth soaking into the fibre and sitting a few days.
Sketchy dude I would feel pretty uncomfortable. I mean a mold can germ in the fibers then spray mycelium filaments all over your work area after you turn it on.

FUUUCK I guess these plates will let me know. This blows. I need a new flowhood anyway. Seriously i say it ever time i do work. 12x24 sucks. It wasnt really a great decision in the first place. This dude on the bay said he will take $500 for this beast but shipping is addition 250. And on ebay you never know the hepa filter spent 25 years in someones garage getting peed on by squirrels.
I really wanna build a 30x30.Cant seem to find a filter that size now that i want one.
