So If you take a clone and find a culture that you like how do you create a master plate seeing that unless you go for mono it has lots of strains/genenetics still?

Not harmful to humans. The blotch looks very similar to the soft brown spots you see on bananas sometimes.
I've also had the black slimy caps (recent pe tub from not getting all the aborts and shit off.
Nice grow btw, they look pretty tasty
Thanks for the advice guys. I may be the problem with the moisture...I started fucking around with shit that should have been left alone....The usual. Mutants...Nomnomnomnom...

So I got a bunch of these one piece plastic lids and these silicone gaskets that are supposed to fit inside and stay inside the lids. They don't stay inside of them at all. Without the gaskets, these lids are quite leaky. Do any of you plastic lid users bother with a gasket? Since they leak without the gasket they surely are not air tight.

I don't think you really need to worry about air tight. Pasty unscrews his lids for GE rather than drilling holes and adding a filter I just screw em on tight and haven't had any leaks yet. I store alcohol in one jar and it seals just fine

Yeah, I just realized the gaskets are meant for a different brand of plastic lids. I bought the Ball brand lids and the gaskets are meant for MasonTops ToughTops brand lids. Doh!!!
Those ToughTops lids are 15 dollars for fuckin 4 of em. I think I'll just go without the gaskets, as comeback kid mentioned, pasty unscrews his lids without issue. I might as well do the same and not fuck around with putting filters on them.

Novelty as in maybe a mono or two? I really should use poo for Hispanica and pan cyan and I have some cultures coming along of both.
Completely new to mixing hpoo.

then tomorrow, call you local zoo/police stables.(if your city has them)and inquire about getting poop. or hit up farmer john in the sticks.

I can get a pickup full of horse poo for free off craigslist. Check your local list to see what's out there.

Horse poo can be chock full of nasty chemicals. I have horses and many years experience with them. I also compost extensively...following the Canadian Organic Standard.
Things like wormers (Ivermectin etc.), Anti inflammatory drugs like "Bute", and others, anti-biotics... poison the shit. Bute makes horse meat unsafe for human consumption. So do wormers. I would be very cautious and thoughtful about whether those things might get into the mushrooms.
Organic farms are the place to get shit if you can...
