Last time I read the bigger the better more movement causes less air movement in a larger space.
My sab is a 50 gallon tote.

What variety am I looking at? I would say today, or within 24hrs. Lots of mutants, yum.

These are some GT...I wasn't sure if the mutants would produce a lot of spores...I like to harvest before I get too many spores released.. The mutant stems are wierd in the sense that the split, so I get a little rushed to harvest that sometimes in case its vert. Doesn't spread to the other fruits...Is that normal for the mutant stems to split or am I adding too much water?

Spawned 12/30. I am amazed it did this:

If those are from the same batch as these then I dont think its over watering.
Those bacterial spots on your mutant tray caps indicate that your spawn was a little bacterial and thats how your mushies reacted. As for the stem tearing thats normal for mutants.
Mush cult please correct me if im wrong.

On his mutant tray. If im not mistaken I believe the light brown splotches on the mutant caps is bacterial spots.
Regardless id harvest them. I like mutants.

Not necessarily bacteria. Could just be water damage. Bacteria on caps is usually black and slimy.

Looks like bacterial blotch, a form of Pseudomonas. This happens when the caps stay wet for too long after misting or just from condensation. It's not even a remotely bad outbreak, I only see a few spots here and there. Not a big deal with cubes cause they get dehydrated but if it happens to edibles people are unlikely to buy them. Not harmful to humans. The blotch looks very similar to the soft brown spots you see on bananas sometimes.
I've also had the black slimy caps (recent pe tub from not getting all the aborts and shit off.
Nice grow btw, they look pretty tasty

I was curious how much dumping pressure from 15psi to zero would affect grain moisture so I did some rough calculations using latent heat of evaporation and specific heat capacity.
I assumed that the heat capacity of the grain itself would be 1.5kJ/kg, and that grain and water would be at a 50:50 ratio before the pressure dump.
I calculated that 5% of the moisture would be lost from the grain after releasing the 15 psi of steam.
I also calculated for 25psi to 0psi giving a moisture loss of 7.5%

What do you mean by pressure dump? Dropping the pressure abruptly? Or are you just talking about letting the pressure drop naturally (keeping the weight on till pressure reaches zero)?

It's more just bad for your jars then anything also bad for safety's sake.

Why would it be bad for the jars or for safety?
I'm talking about releasing the pressure intentionally. I was curious what affect it would have so i did some rough calculations
I was thinking it might be helpful if you accidentally over-hydrated your grains to be able to loose some of that excess rather than have a batch of useless grains, or have to spend 2 days trying to dry them out.

I've busted two jars before by either dropping pressure too fast or cooking too hot.
Haven't dropped the pressure anymore, and no more cracked jars.

Sometimes I wonder how important 10 minutes of time saved can be, when it takes more than one week for a jar to be fully colonized :P

Pressure dropping too quickly can weaken the glass causing them to break.
It says it in ever PC manual I've read.
