Their plastic lids are super sturdy too. Pay a little for shipping but I've not seen nicer jars.
Edit:

I bought 20 1gal jars with metal lids for mimosa of uline.

Hey Schemenhaft,
I'm in the Netherlands and except for a decent PC you can find anything cult related right here ime.
We use jars with one piece lids here tho. Those work great too. We get them via a wholeseller (for beekeepersj https://www.dewerkbij.nl/webshop
If the link doesn't work, pm me and we'll find a way. Box of 12 pieces 1062ml jars for about Eur 11,- (without lids, order separately per bag of 24 or 36 iirc
Edited to explain my use of one piece lids:

Drill a 6mm hole, stuff with polyfill and I like to use mp tape too, to make sure the poly can't come loose and it looks better. Lids like this last for a long time and many cycles

Schemenhaft said: Europe is such a shitty region to get the stuff for cultivation..
Impossible to buy a big pc here without importing from the US for like 250% of the usual price..but okay, did it because it lasts for years and I just need one.
Because I get the PC next week, I wanna get jars around 1qt, currently I use maximum 435ml jars.
Its fucking impossible to get jars around 900-1000 litres without paying horrible prices. Mason jars or something similar around 3-4€ for one in 0.5qt, this is just usury...
Tried to get something similar for less prices, made in an european country or something, because they all import just mason what makes it so expensive. But just possible to get jam/jelly jars in this size or again crazy ass prices - But the jelly-jars are awful, they break really fast and the lids are opened just with a 1/8 twist so there is close to zero space to play between loose and fixed lid.
Anyone here from europe, best EU because of shipping, who could recommend jars for a good price or very nice quality?

Do u like their lids? I don't like it that they fully open that easy with just a 1/8 twist
That's precisely the best part, it opens and closes so easily with a short turn and yet they have a tight af seal and are reliable as hell... love 'em.
Have to mention, I flame them jars with a torch... specially underneath the lid. Pretty sure you could just sanitize them but I don't trust doing this with these.
You mean this area right here haha? I do the same, at many glasses this area is way more thin, so burning is the only decent way to reduce contamination around there.

@Tweeq Thank you man! NL is perfect, I can come over to the netherlands in just 2 minutes of walking!
Seems like they sell the same jars like they sell here over in germany - Maybe a hint for u, I don't know if shipping is worth for u, but u could also get them from here for 9,62€/12stk without a lid. Not that much cheaper but maybe still possible to safe money.

Got a chance to get 20 tubs for just 50% of the price, wanna use them as MonoTub. But their height is just around 11-11.5“.
Is this Stil fine ? Wanna grow different varieties, for coming future APER, GT, B+ and maybe RW if I get spores. Think it is not optimal, because many varieties get to tall for this with some fruits, but do I guys think it affects it that much that it was not worth to buy the boxes for 50% ? If not that good, is it especially for PE-varieties fine? Read that they don’t get that tall in most cases.

What’s the volume of the tubs? I use short 16qt tubs exclusively and I don’t have any problems.. the fruits hit the lid sometimes but they’ll move as they grow.. I’ll give you some examples. Short tubs work great for PE like you said because they do tend to stay short and fat

PE
.
Crs

And I think those are even shorter than yours.. I only use 2 qts of spawn per bin so you might have to use a bit less substrate per bin

They are 22l(23,25qt) 39x28x28 cm and 45l(=47,5qt) 56x39x28 cm.
Your results looking awesome, then it was absolutely worth to get a huge amount of them for this nice price. Which substrate-height do u use? Usually 4" is wanted, with casing up to 5" is fine - Also did a Mono with 3" without casing, worked also well.
I think I'll try for the PE-Varities 3" of cvg/spawn mix + 1" casing (read casing is better for PE, usually I dont use a casing-layer) and for "usual" strains I'll go for some tests with 3" and 4" all without casing.

I can’t even explain how nice it is to have so much room and not have to worry about super slowly and precisely placing everything.
Thanks again tribe and everybody who voted.

That's the dream! I eventually need to get something taller.
I've acquired a small FH but the instructions say to leave it running for 12 hours on first use, and to utilize a clean room (I guess because it doesn't have a prefilter like most DIY builds)...
Kind of scared to run it at all until I move, but the 100qt Hefty SAB is working okay for now. G2G and A2G is kind of shoddy though with so little headroom.

I picked a few of these from each of my tubs today. They averaged just under 23 grams wet each. With the smallest weighing just under 11 grams and the largest just over 30 grams. A total wet weight of 389.5 grams total from 17 mushrooms.

I want to see if it will allow the the others in the clusters around them to grow a little faster. Besides, I doubt they'll gain much more dry weight anyway. They went from being solid to hollow over the last couple of days.

I can't seem to locate my fucking meat thermometer anywhere! Is it worth the risk to use jiffy on my PE tub without pasteurization, or should I run it without and cross my blob fingers?

My timer didn't go off so my jars got an extra 30 mins in the PC. They are brf/verm/hpoo/straw. The extra half hour won't cause any problems will it?

Cool, I was sure that was the case. I was more worried about the PC having run dry but I don't think that's happened.

Yea. As long as the pc hasn't run dry. If it did run dry, all bets are off.

I’ve had a bad experience recently with moldy jiffy even after I pasteurized it (tiny spots here and there but there was probably mold myc already present before I pasteurized so I say pasteurize
