Let us know how it turns out!  In merca ranchers hate "hippies" and "drugs"  i dare not pick a naturally ocurring specimen on a ranchers field for fear of being shot.

Meh, depends on the ranch. Just be careful jumping into a pasture if there are cattle in it, the bull will not be afraid of you, and they may be big but they are sure quiet in the dark. Learned that coon hunting, thank god for the dog he saved my ass lol.

+1 i had to run through a field filled with cows about 300 yards. Owner was known for his salt slugs. Scary part is you can see there glowing eyes when you run at night. Yes the bull will get you the others cows could care less. Things we had to do before marijuana was legal

Guys, do you think 2 year old mycelium stored at room temperature is capable of fruiting?
It has really lost a lot of vigor (grew about 3mm in 5 days)

Are these fully colonized? Dont mind the blurs please

This one below is the one with the stubborn little area that closes up very slow.

The rest have just have some tiny spots that they too close up really slowly, dont think its bacteria because no wet look, no slime and no weird smells.

My thoughts are that rye could have possibly dried up a bit after the shake as it was kinda violent and the berries exploded (you can see their innards on the glass lol)

thoughts?

the brownish areas are noit metabolites btw its just thinner myc over rye.

Yeah, I would try it to see if some of the millions of spores are still viable... or is it billions?

So, theyve germinated in the syringe and are just growing slowly?

Exactly, but they are 2 years old the mycelium has clearly lost vigor that why i'm curious if it would even be able to fruit or if it's a waste of time

Well he didn't say anything about a syringe at first, just that the culture was 2 years old and grew 3mm in 5 days. I've had stuff kept at room temp for way less time than was so sluggish it wouldn't grow anything at all.

Man, Rustywhyte is fucking me off!:grrr:

I'm on my 3rd print and just can't seem to get a nice culture I am willing to put to grain.
I don't like to think of myself as incompetent, I've got a 8 beautiful cubes cultures stored away, but fuck me RW continues to cut the legs put from under me. I don't think most have contammed but growth is splotchy and inconsistent every time.

Don't give up! You'll get there.
These aren't the best ever but they're so uniform I love it.
You can also see how I went from really blotchy growth to uniformity.

Those are sick, that's what I look for, and for the most part achieve, which makes it even more frustrating tbh.

I had a bit of trouble with my agar recipie a few months ago, found my LME to be old and sub par. Refreshed it with the same brand and growth became much better but promoted the appearance of a halo on every culture, despite varying the nute levels on batches.
So at the moment I'm thinking I need to have a look at my ingredients. But work is manic atm, RW is just one variety, and running comparisons seems like more work...
It'll probably have to wait till the new year but Jesus it's wound me up.
