Seems like being able to shake them would stop any possible stalling or anything. Don't bags hold way more than a quart?
The width of the glass is the same for all jar sizes. As a result, using larger sized jars results in them being more likely to break from being shaken/beat against things after being PC'd a bunch of times. That's only some low odd percentage more of a risk as usual, and they can be used, but overall quarts fit better in a pressure cooker.

I like the 1.9 liter jars...I get 4 into my PC so an extra liter per run and I run 2:4, 2:6 so one jar per tray...I use them for G3 jars only though...

@mush appears dryer than what I think would be ideal, but I could be mistaken. The flash makes it loo a little better, but pretty much dry as shit inside the jar. Grains look good tho.
Thoughts? Looks good? Post 2hour PC cycle.

You cased after full colonization? And you didn't fruit already? Or you cased at spawn with tape?

Yeah but once you cased you should have fruited. Now I'd probably just wait til that casing is at about 75-80% then fruit if it was me. Or fruit now

You can fruit whenever you want after casing. It used to be standard to fruit once the casing was 30-50% colonized.
I definitely prefer to fruit right after casing, but I case and fruit at spawn usually, but fruiting at 30-50% is fine

Ok then disregard that listen to Nate on this one. That's not how I usually fruit so I wasn't sure. Looks good to fruit then

hey guys,
thank you all for your answers.
I decided not to clone this clone but to put the whole culture in the refrigerator for later use. Since I know it's definetely a pinning culture, I will keep it that way
And if I need it in the future, I just get it out of the fridge and take a wedge near the pin:

But what I learned: I have to catalogize my plates better than now. It was a hard fuck to find out which of the plates that are now colonizing are comming from that pinning plate

I would've grabbed the pin. Doesn't hurt to have more clean petris. I think it's bad practice to store a plate with a pin on it for long term usage, but not sure on that.

So after the usual January blues ive managed to not be bothered about anything again. So ive upped my Microdose levels and started taking Turmeric, black pepper and coconut oil.
Its working and so I turn back to the months of work I did to get to that point. Needless to say the pots are over grown and I need to recoup. Fortunetely on my PE plates I have managed to take 6 nice pins that have grown through neglect to 6 new plates. Seeing they come from a sterile place to begin with, if I get some nice clean growth from some I could spawn grains?LI with those plates without transferring?
Just need a quick grow to get the show back on the road...........

If you wait more than a few months the culture might lose it's vigor. I would take wedges when needed to a different agar media and use those plates to inoculate.

dude just take a transfer the second you see jump off from the pins. It'll add like, 2 days.. I wouldn't make an LI with a pin plate. Like, you can but I wouldn't. Give the growth it's own plate first transfer and make an LI with a plate while you continue to transfer and clean up the same culture with more transfer plates. Then make another round of jars with that refined culture once your first jars have finished.

I suppose with 6 plates I can do that and experiment. Thanks for the info. Gunna transfer 5 and try 1 for my own tick list.

Me
And I would take that pin and clone it, keep the plate and you have 2 different culture with different genes
