You can do stones in bags but jars produce more due to surface area.
I could never get the hydration down with oats, also they aren't the best quality around here.
Wheat is simple, boil 30-45m until al dente, rinse to cool and strain till dry. Then pc.

Lately I've been doing my wheat similar to how spitball jedi does his rye. I bring a big pot of water up to like 195 degrees, remove from heat, add wheat, cover and let sit for an hour. I briefly rinse, let drain for 20 minutes, then jar and pc.
It works ok enough. I've only done it with small batches of like 5 or 6 jars so it might require some sort of adjustment if prepping larger amounts.

That seems like a long time for wheat to boil tryp. I always did 20 min boil for wheat and 30 for oats. i dont boil anymore tho. I get the water to right before it boils and cut the heat. Set a timer depending on the grain and drain when it sounds

I don't even boil at all.... I wrote my new tek about how I prep my oats now.... I just dump them in a tub for 24 hours and then strain for 2 hours then bag and pc. Perfect bags everytime! Jars also. I quit boiling when it kept making bags mush.... So now I just do 50lbs of grain into a tub then start bagging the next day. Can do something like 25 bags of I remember correctly out of a 50 lb bag. 5 qt bags.

I'm confused by your question Ted.
Honestly it might be a bit long, wheat is very forgiving as long as you dry it properly ime.
Ive gone anywhere from 20m to like an hour and a half (accidentally) and no major problems came from either.
I honestly don't even time anything or look at the time even anymore, I just feel it out and chec on it often

I'm gonna be real with you my man. Idk what hwfp or cvg mean and they get thrown around a lot.
And I'm also fresh out of prints in the species that don't melt things.
This may sound blasphemous but I actually hate eating mushrooms. They're gross. My wife loves em and I tried growing oysters once but I fucked the bags up and they triched out.

lol I also do not like eating mushrooms.
Although I haven’t tried king oysters fried up. Supposedly they’re a really good meat substitute so I might be able to handle them.

They might be even easier than cubes are. Oyster myc is insanely quick and aggressive and eats tons of stuff. I found one person growing on junk mail and hair clippings. And you can use old cube subs so you don’t even need to buy anything.
Lions mane took forever and I’d given up on it and just left the bag sitting out for a month and when I went to throw it away saw it had started fruiting. Open air in 10-15% rh I was shocked.

Huh that isnt a typicql experience for lions mane.
Shit I'd argue that lions mane is one of the fastest to fruit mushrooms around.
All the lions mane I have ever ran fruits in the jar the minute it hits 100%

Have you checked out entangled life by merlin Sheldrake? He talks about pleurotus experiments that have mycelium feasting on used diapers, used cigarettes butts and all sorts of wonky shit.
Nate, those jars look wild. Lions mane has always interested me because the mycelium is so thin and wispy but its fruits are so dense and complex it just seems like the 2 aren't related.

Never printed it but one fruit drops a ton of spores. Maybe just wait till you can see the spores with a flashlight and put it on foil? I’d just clone it if it wasn’t from the grocery store
