On another note I was looking at more bags to buy and discovered these from uline.

Ain't that just the cats ass? The dimensions are nearly bang on for a 66qt sterlite. Just thinking about the simplicity and ease of it all as a liner but beyond that if you taped the top together you could put the same holes as a Pasty Ez-Dial and just grow them right in the bag itself. Pasty Ez-Bag. 44 cents a unit to boot.

KP I will try and explain my recent experience perhaps it can help you, first foremost around $300 cash in hand wouldn’t be a horrible idea if you want to truly invest yourself into this hobby. Next you should acquire the stuff you’ll need, I suggest BODs Unmodified tubs Tex it rocked for me first try x 2 not really any issues BUT lots of opportunity to screw up. Treat this like a science experiment, follow the directions read them a few times, watch the videos he has linked it takes some clicking to find all the info because there’s a lot of info and it is spread out but the ones I really used that helped me towards success initially was BOD’s monotub Tex, Grain tek, and substrate preparation, no one can teach your eye and misting skills something you just learn and get the feel for. You’ll need to get the right stuff and not cut corners is my suggestion. Follow the Tex! You’ll need to find some MS syringes ~$6-15, I used premade filter patches and injection ports (Ask if you want brand $30) to make my first go easier but increased my initial cost gave me confidence in my sterile technique. I’ll list some things you should acquire below as starting point. Be patient! Truth it takes time!
-PC - Pressure Cooker Presto 23 Qt is the one I used it was trusty old PC -Quart jars and lids with 2 x 1/4’ holes in the lids for filter and injection port -Grain (I used horse feed oats and they worked great follow the TEX!)but other option exist WBS being the other is have tried for cost (again get the right stuff) -MS syringe Pick Golden Teacher or B+ for tried and true strains others exist guys chime in -Coir just coir no need for anything else first run I killed it *my opinion -A monotub get the same tub (54 qt 4 blue Latches got mine at target -Spray bottle x 2 (water & alcohol) maybe a few extra looking for one that puts out fine mist -Rubbing alcohol -SAB - good idea but I worked around it for my initial run just kept myself in a clean environment and used sterile techniques (another decent read) but for agar I made one. But that is going farther and unnecessary for success -Light ( I bought a 4’ Florescent shop light used bulbs) - the time to do it and not be gone on vacation for 45-60 days
Lastly my girlfriend bitches how I manage to study learn how to cultivate mushrooms yet can’t read how to be a better boyfriend/person in touch with my feeling bla bla... I guess priorities.... folks around here might not play well with others but there is experience and the info you need to be had right here. But you need to read then read it again, then read it again as you perform your experiment. You can do it you don’t need us to succeed but you do need time and money/supplies no matter how you look at it. What you put into it will reflect in what you get out, in my case bunch of shrooms and a pissed off girlfriend a messier house. We all only have so much time . Good luck! Think your grow space through, putting it over your forced air vent might not be the best place, a place where the temperature isn’t right or consistent.... watching videos looking at people who succeed AND fail can helps avoid pitfalls. I’m out! One more post towards 50 . Sorry to the boys for the waste of your time! KP your welcome cause now I’m pissing off the masses

Sure you lose out on stackability but hell it tickles my fancy in all the good ways. No need for a liner just roll the bag down and harvest. Replicate the same results as a Pasty ez-dial (Hopefully) and when the thing is spent just collapse the bag around the sub and toss it. No tub to clean. Monobag.
To use them just as a liner for a 66qt all you have to do is one cut to your desired sub height, expand the bag and drop it in and because of the gusset and shape it'd be a perfect fit instead of a round bag in a rectangle tub. Could use one of these to do more than a few at a time.
If I was doing that though I would probably look for some cheaper polyethylene bags maybe.

Yep filled a ton of those this week with sub and spawn but when I went to rebuy more I realized I was paying 86 cents Canadian per unit and I don't really need the fancy filter for this. Hot damn was it ever quick and easy to make the bags up. Dump in sub, dump in spawn, shake shake shake senora and Bobs your auntie.
Do you put holes in yours for FAE? I was thinking of doing the PVC pipe thing a buddy showed me. A small length of 1" PVC pipe in the top of the bag secured with a reusable cable tie with some polyfil in it then a fan blowing in the room to move the air in and out of the bag with what I assume is some kinda passive venturi effect. Those bags of yours look delicious some I'm all ears as to how you're doing FAE.

Wad up cult,
Trying to fine tune a couple of bits. Could someone validate or critique the surface conditions of this tub please?
I think it's probably ever so slightly too wet but ultimately pretty good.

Nice one. Ta.
Ya there's loads. Yeti, supposed to put out loads of little ones on first flush and then much larger 2&3rd. Sounds like most varieties but I think this'll be more pronounced. I'll find out soon.

With that bag i opened the top and let it flop over on itself for a kinda seal once it started fruiting. Normally i just leave them closed with fans running but tbh I havent been running them much lately. Im about to give it another go tho.

Really no holes at all at the substrate level? That is wild. Just a loose top or even closed works? I did not see the filter patch providing enough airflow so that blows my mind.
Oh you got me so excited about bag fruiting with that picture.
