Pasty EZ dials are the best monotub I've worked with so far. I did the big holes with micropore, unbodified and then Pasty tubs. Unbodified tubs were great until the summer for me then I couldn't get enough fae out of them.
When doing that big bad bulk grow they were a godsend because they mostly took care of themselves. Rarely needed a mist and no fuzzy feet with tall skinny stipes.
My only gripe is I have to use a liner because I can't float my sub like an unbodified tub and I hate using liners so harvesting can be a bitch but now as I type this I realize I could have just put the tub with holes in it into a tub without holes and floated the sub and man am I stupid.

Or.... You could use scotch tape... Inside the tub plug the holes float the sub???? It's not rocket science

Geez are you like this with all the newbies? Thanks for the info but the "spoonfed" and other snarkiness is unnecessary... There's THOUSANDS of pages here and I work a ton. I was just hoping there was some kind veterans that would share that have been through a lot of it already that could shorten my research time... Sorry I haven't spent the time you have but I have a lot on my plate and was hoping for a helpful veteran without the unhelpful snide comments...

Well it's pritty simple honestly you say there is thousands of pages yes there is but telling people who spend hours daily on this "hobby" and have worked very hard and read alot to get to the point we are at. you come on here and say hey can someone just link me the pages and email me so I don't have to read.
You are setting yourself up for failure by not reading and spending the time to do it. If you want simple and easy and have the $$ there is grow kits they sell online you can set up a etc box at FedEx and have them shipped nothing in this hobby is easy or fast. It takes hours and hours of work per grow. So yes I was rude because you say it's 2020 people it should be easy when 90% of the members on here have spent close to 20 hours reading and I bet if they have grown just once the avarage grow from start to finish takes a month... And at least 4 hours min of work.
As I said this is not the hobby for you if you don't have time.

The Shroomery is here to help but it's a forum for learning. I see you have a busy work schedule and that's fine, this hobby can be as little or as big as you want it to be. Trippytimes posted a good start for you, Pasty EZ dialed is the way to go.
She listed the main starting things you are going to need in a nice little format.
Main thing are those items she listed, bare minimum.
Syringes with a culture you want to grow is obvious. But do yourself a favor and get that Pressure Cooker. You need it for almost every process as everything needs to be sterile.
Don't ever try to start out with a grow kit or anything pre-made. You'll thank yourself later for not buying that crap.
Bod's info on cultivation has a lot of the information you might have questions about.
Nothing comes without that research though. I spent months and months reading everyday before I even started trying. Granted you don't have to but there's alot to learn and the ways to do it right.
I understand you are new on here, people love to help. But people also answer alot of questions over and over again. I've learned that myself and try to only post questions when I can't find it after researching.
Everyone on here has done their fair share of research and trial and error. Posting your email was a first mistake as you don't want anything to come back to you in the end.
Please don't be scared of snarkyness or snide comments or even people seemingly getting mad. It's a forum of great information just sometimes people will be people. Take it with a grain of salt.
Welcome to the Shroomery! I hope you get some great results.

I am saddened that the veterans here are just like every other board feeling all elitist and unhelpful. Guys here 15 years and feels everyone else should spend as much time as he has rather than being generous and decent like I thought the average person would be that is into this kind of thing... Thanks for opening my eyes guys!

No I said spend 2 seconds reading the first page of the mushcult forums. So you dont ask silly questions that are asked over and over again by other people who also dont take the 2 seconds.
Do you go to a drive thru and skip the menu pulling up to the window and say 'Im busy could you give me a list of the best and cheapest food?' The reply would be, you went past it. To which you reply 'ugh elitist' and speed off?
Come on now.

If I want to know about psychology I find the resources available and then take advantage of them. What I wouldn't do is walk into the UofT library and ask a student or professor to compile everything that I need to know in one place because I'm busy. It's far from elitist to suggest that you follow that path that anyone must take to learn a new skill.
I hope this has truly opened your eyes.

No one is saying you have to read for 15 years. But you have to understand this, like any other hobby, requires knowing things. You can't just watch a video for everything and bam boom wam it's done. You need to learn tek's, you need to learn sterile technique, you need to know how much water to put into substrates, how to make agar, how to grow on agar, how to make jars, ect ect ect.
There is no one page with every bit of information you need. There is no one video that will make you an expert on this. It requires reading and rereading.
Take 1-2 hours every night and just read.
You have to get your foot in the door before you starting asking questions you know nothing about. There's no point of trying to learn if you don't retain all this stuff. That takes repetition.
I had to read about 20 different monotub/substrate variations before I found the one I liked. People have already pushed you in the right direction.
This hobby is for everyone who is willing to put effort into it.

Your so sweet!!
And I listed all of bods links and the ez tub from mr.pasty she has all the stuff she needs I didn't have it easy years ago it was alot of miss information and these "2020" teks have made shrooms very easy. I'd work on getting that list first and start by ready the oats prep link by bod.
First learn oats then learn how to make a SAB Then ready about sterile technique Then you have your jars ready! After they are 50% covered in white stuff and no other funky colors shake it and wait.
Then Learn coir prep I suggest bucket tek.
Then pastys mono tub that I posted the link then wait and harvest.

I read enough to understand you just dont plant a seed and come back in a few weeks. I just thought some vets in this hobby wouldn't be like all the elitists of the regular boards... I thought people would be more willing to help than just give read the board unhelpful messages that many of the vets of every board with thousands of pages do...
Thank you for the info. I just thought people would be different here than the general public. I didn't come in demanding anything like this 15 year vet says.... Way to turn people off guys...
