I'm going to start working with a few different varieties from MS and with GT clones and such and I feel like things are going to get out of hand quick lol. I'm already writing the date, inoculation method, variety, transfer, and numbering them consecutively but I feel like there's a better way.
Somewhat unrealistic/unnecessary but I'm trying to think of a way to label plates, grains and tubs in a way that lets me easily keep track of and trace the the final fruiting tub back to the plate that it originated from.
I guess it's not particularly difficult to just label the grains and tubs but I'm just wondering if anyone has a nice stream lined process of keeping track of everything that is consistent throughout each phase of the grow.
IIRC, stareatclouds had a good grain id tag that might help with something like this but I can't find it again.
To track the timeline from spawn to fruiting, I just assigned a random ID number to each, and then kept it along the way. I didn't keep track of agar plates that much, tbh, but I'd keep track of master and expansion and bag in a binder/spreadseet.
For plates, I'd just do the basics like you. Here's my Grain Tag and Tub Tag. I have one for Bags, too.

I abandoned the tub tags, though, and just wrote the ID on the tub and recorded the stuff on the tag once in the spreadsheet.

When pressure cooking, is it OK for your jars to sit in water ontop of the metal heat protector or should I put something underneath the metal protector so the jars sit up out of the water?

They’ll be ok partially submerged.
Mario different species definitely have unique trips. I never had any interest in growing new types since I always figured psilocybin is psilocybin, but pans blew me away when I finally grew some.
And then quite a few people have compared tamps to rolling.

I literally said the same thing a few pages back lol.
Nothing a hacksaw and a hundred ML syringe can't fix. Just hack the tip off file it down a little bit makes the perfect boof tube! I mean think about it shove it in far enough and then you don't even have to hold it It has those nice stoppers on the side!

Yeah I feel you there one gram to 3.5 is a big keep I scared my self straight off a accident of 7g trip. Let's just say didn't know the weight and joked around and ate a few shrooms fresh and didn't know the weight but evidently trips so hard I threw up rainbows. Blacked out passed out and had a seizure for what I'm told. Soooo..... Yeah haven't ate any in a few years but I'm working up the courage of microdosing first

Apes are what did me in and why I don't fuck with them. Any dose above 3g makes it hard to move or physically function, it took me 1 hour to eat an apple. I couldn't swallow anything, I was just sitting there chewing for ages. The only time I did 5g I was basically in woodlovers paralysis or what I'd imagine that to be like (I've only eaten cubes) and found myself unable to control anything on my body but felt my bladder emptying. That shit sucked but whatever. Shook me for a month and now we're here lol

Yeah I never recovered from it. One thing about mushrooms it's like they have a mind of their own. If you abuse them they'll come back to haunt you.

Cloning to agar day and I can't find my scalpel handle, joy of joys. Cloning day always makes me nervous as fuck I swear I spend a few hours just trying to steady my nerves for working with tissue to agar. Shaking like a leaf does not help here.
Got a sporeless PE6 from a cluster that came from MS that's looking ideal. Hoping to have luck with potency once it's grown out from clone. With my luck lately it'll be a dude but here's hoping.

Hey AKA, I can't find a comment that impressed me awhile back about trip quality. It was something like "(Pans) have less body load and are a more gentle trip."
Does that sound familiar? Was it about Pans? I'm def looking for less body load, even though I haven't tried Niacin yet. (To relieve vasoconstriction)

Just moved from an apartment with baseboard heaters to a house with forced air. Noticed my tubs are drying out like crazy now. I have a hunch that it's because I placed them too close to the vent and the air currents are fucking my shit up. Gonna have to move my 150lb shelving rack now god dammit lol. Anyone else got experience with this?

Yeah I can actually give you a very good tip. Go to a place that sells HEPA filters. Home Depot Lowe's something like that. Buy a filter and put it in the vent/register. might have to cut it to size but it will slow down the airflow and allow it to have clean air and since it's blocking the way a little bit it will allow the rest of the house to get that kind of air flow. It actually works very well. I did that to my room because I ran into the same issue.

Yeah that ain't a bad idea. I'm using unmodded tubs, so there isn't much "dialing" I could do with those. Suppose it might be easier to dial in the air flow of the room and placement of my shelves/tubs.

It worked great for me the hepa slowed the air flow down and also clean air as a bonus. Pro tip! If you buy the big one you can get multiple uses by cutting the filter to size

Cold season coming up, qestion about heating. Those of you that use an aquarium heater, is an additional pump required to circulate the warm water all around the sumberged tub or is a pump included in your heater? Or is such a function maybe even usually included in such a heater? I cant really tell from the Amazon offers.

You'll have to go to Reddit to find people using aquarium heaters. That's a bad tek.
We recommend you heat the room, not the fruiting chamber. An oil radiant heater is best. Heating the fruiting chamber encourages contaminates and dries out your substrates.
